I had an epic flea market win this past weekend.

U2 - Rattle and Hum
Pretenders (self Titled)
Pseudo Echo - Love an Adventure
Rolling Stones - Metamorphosis
Simple Minds - Once Upon a Time
Madonna - True Blue
Icehouse - Man of Colors
Dexy's Midnight Runners - Too-Rye-Ay
ELO - Face the Music
Bananarama - Wow!
Big Pig - Bonk (on white marbled vinyl)
Televisions Greatest Hits volume 1
The Stud soundtrack
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 soundtrack
Cocktail soundtrack
10 soundtrack
Ice Station Zebra soundtrack
Absolute Beginners soundtrack
Hit wave 81

and finally, a record that is somehow named after my wife's pet name for me:

Totally Awesome 12 Inches.

oh, and a maxi single of The Art of Noise and Duanne Eddy's Peter Gunn.

All that for $180 Australian. Pretty happy.

First new music delivery of 2018 to Spun Towers is a whopper! Customs took a Great White-sized bite out of my wallet, but forgot I'd ordered the pin - so a nice bonus to ease the pain... :)

Hoping the pressing is as sleek and silent as the aforementioned fish.

Uhh sorry I didn't know pet peeve does mean annoying - I meant it as positive thing, as of his "baby" projects that he takes good care of. A project meaning a lot to him. I've heard this on some italian website, was it the 6th dimension one...

Totally understandable. People often refer to a passion project, or their "baby", as a pet project. A pet peeve is usually a personal or idiosyncratic annoyance. One of my pet peeves is people that over explain words and phrases.

Finally bit the bullet on this pair. Long term wish listers. Just have to get my set-up sorted out after it had to be decanted at Christmas, and then I can listen to them.

Excellent, Chief. I don‘t have the Toby Dammit yet but have listened to it digitally (will need that wax version soon). Enjoy!

I've not heard it at all. Will look into this.

Toby Dammit is the incredible Fellini segment of the all-round terrific 'Histoires Extraordinaire', an E.A.Poe compendium know in US as Spirits of the Dead. Rota's score for this one was a long-time favourite of mine, was beyond thrilled when this was pressed a few years back - superb edition!

The film is also notable for Roger Vadim's section, which casts the Fonda siblings Jane and Peter as hot young lovers! (Eeewwwwww...)

And don't forget Brigitte Bardot as a card shark if I remember correctly.
I only have the score in digital. That LP cover for it looks great. The main theme is very similar to one of Rota's tracks on the Godfather OST.

Recent bits that have come through the letter box over the last two months or so. Some better than others, some rarer than others.
