The National Pool - Relaxation Tape for Solo Space Travel cassette

This is a new release from a label that I like a lot: Infraction Records. They mainly release ambient music on CD and vinyl. As far as I can tell, this is their first cassette release. It's couched as a relaxation tape for Soviet cosmonauts from a long time ago. You can hear two of the tracks from the bandcamp site, linked above. Limited edition of 100, comes out in mid-January.

Highly recommend the film. lots of white (snow) followed by lots red (blood). I'm not a western aficionado but would say don't be put off by the lack of directorial finesse most are familiar with from Leone. The story and build up through the movie is great all the way to the very end.

And agreed one of my fave morricone scores.
How is the pressing quality? I've been holding off Dagored because I've heard the press quality isn't good. Noisy etc..

Here's one that I picked up Steve and it sounds good. This was a replacement copy because the first one I purchased had a lot of surface noise on one side covering three tracks. I think Dagored repressed this with different colors because I remember the first one had a orange transparent half. As far as Dagored goes; I'll usually just buy records from them if the pressings are a solid transparent color or solid black. It can be risky buying multicolored pressings from them in my opinion.

I only have the BEAT 70's reissue with the blue label and a black border, The sound quality on my release is brilliant.

I think the blue border are from the same print run. This one

I'm with you on that Dollarhyde. Here are some great sounding Dagored pressings in my collection; two transparent pressings and one solid black one.

Love those Beat Records Discogs links:)

Thanks!

Honestly the few times I've listened to it so far I've been moving around the house doing various things so I haven't had a chance to sit down in front of it and give it a proper listen. And to add to that my receiver has been acting up so that has been in pieces the last few days. Once it's all back together and I have some free time, I'll give it a check to see if there is any issues with the pressing. I have a few Dagored records but they were all pressed to black vinyl and haven't had any issues. I'm hoping this is the same, I didn't know they were known for problems.

I do love The Exterminator, but I'm not sold on this label. Has anyone who's bough anything from them have it in hand yet? If so, how's it sound?
