Spinning some Capitol Media Music libraries and a couple of Omnimusic. Some of these Capitol LPs are pretty cool, Multi-Images by Roger Webb, Winner's Circle by Tom Elliot, Bio Rhythm / Rocket Rhythm by Thomas Clausen and Action Rock also by Clausen are all great records.

Texas last purchases inspired me to pull some of my Media Music off the shelf. this one i really enjoy a lot. one of those lovely non-conceptually concept albums where the concept does not make sense at all, haha! it's all about funky jazzy compositions named after capitol cities, with some cities funkier than others. really nice tunes on that one, composed by the great Roger Webb. highly recommendedn and fairly easy to find...

took a trip around the world yesterday. have crossed south america, pakistan, iran and india and ended up in the middle of africa. need to go to australia, new zealand and east asia later...really such a great series. so educational. it is crazy how much knowledge about music these composers had, especially Alessandroni and Sorgini. their compositions sound so authentic. i mean this was made in the early seventies. with no internet and no youtube. i am wondering if they have travelled these countries/regions actually? the Barigozzi is the least traditional sounding one with some fine jazzy influences.
quality pressings with ultra thick cardboard sleeves remind me of the rearly Folkways records...

Nice to find an extra track that I had never heard before on the cd/youtube rips that I had previously eared (there is one non vocal track 'stimulating strip' on the LP).

@Mateo: the price for those Alessandroni's is within limit as they are not really sought after. they cost me $50 each but I still had to grab them as they do not show up that often. especially in this condition...
there is three more Alessandroni on the same Folkmusic label. they concentrate on traditional italian folklore but i do not really enjoy them, at least the two that i have heard.

@Dollar: so jealous of that Boneschi. this one has been on my want list for a while. definitely one of the best from that CAM series. the sound so is so unusual. never heard anything lite that. but i am sure it will bore you quite soon and you will sell it to me at a decent price...haha!

Less heavy psyche, more on the experimental side with lotsa dulcimer, plucky guitar, growling harmonica and percussive piano/odd creeky noises.

Sounds like the soundtrack to the weirdest western ever!

Agreed 100% with Underground.

Now spinning some morricone and his contemporaries with this trippy library. I think most of these are from various Italian movies of the day, as is often the case with cam.

The Umiliani track on this for example is truly disturbing.

another strangely beautiful record from the Leo label. mixed bag with cues by some well known composers like Brugnolini, Fusco, Cortese, De Luca and Luciani. really like that one. especially the Bach Sound cue which sound like it came from the Zoo Folle session. again, the cover art is priceless...

Agreed, electroshake, and that track in particular, is a beauty.

@milliondollars do you have the schema reissue of underground, or the zoo Folle reissue? I would love to know how they compare to the ogs sound wise.
I've found libraries can vary greatly in regard to mastering/pressing quality.

@dollar: i have both reissues and i would say the Underground sounds a little dull compared to the Liuto pressing. the Zoo Folle is quite good though but i would still say that an audiophile might hear a certain difference. will try to part with my Underground reish...
