Nice, they did an awesome job with Breaking Bad, and I'm hoping for a similar treatment of The Raid 2!

Anyone think that they've decided that they simply just can't do any announcement for this drop and in turn we'll have a random drop this morning?

That's my guess.

Anyhow good morning and let day 3 begin!

Website is still buggy. For instance, you can add an item to the cart but when viewed, the card shows empty.

I'm guessing no movement from them until at least 9am their time, which is still an hour and a half away or thereabouts.

I think at this point they rather give no information than false information.
From what I read here and on their facebook threads (vicious)...whatever they do, people will get angry, so can't blame them for not making promises.

There is no worse thing than this for a label. Bare with them, I know they are working hard and it will be up when the troubles are sorted.
Today, tomorrow... Doesn't matter, you all know it's coming.

We work with an integrated system that is crash proof rather than with a classic website.
Can't crash unless we would sell David Bowie tickets in a venue that holds 500.

Feel free to bitch about all us labels on here (if constructive) but once again keep nice to eachother.
I'm not tolerating any trolls.

OWS (and others): The worst thing you can do is give no information. That is a sure-fire way to piss your customers off.

I appreciate Waxwork are a small company, but in my opinion (and I realise this is with the benefit of hindsight), this is the way it should have been handled. After the first crash, and as soon as you know it isn't going to be a quick fix, instead of saying we'll do the drop in 24 hours, you say the drop isn't happening for 24 hours, we will update at that time what the situation is. That way, people don't hang about getting more and more annoyed and you buy yourself a decent chunk of time to resolve your issues. If at the end of the period, you are still struggling, you say that issues are ongoing and there will be another update in 24 hours. Everyone gets on with their lives, you get another chunk of time to work in. Customers are happy as they are being kept in the loop and are more understanding with the label. When you get the issues resolved, you can update and say server issues are resolved blah blah and the drop will be in x hours/tomorrow at whatever/next Tuesday fortnight. Doing it this way would relieve pressure on one side and frustration on the other. Saying nothing is doing neither.

Sorry for going on a bit, hope this can be seen as constructive, that's the intention at least.

Your comment is nothing but constructive.
No one here will ever get censored for outing their opinion about a label.

Sure, I totally hear you

But that's the problem you can't give any info on when and what because you don't even know it yourself.
And sometimes you give info based on information you just got (your host saying it will be fixed in a couple of hours) then it turns out you can't fulfill that promise. You are doomed whatever you do.

Speaking strictly for OWS and judging by all the comments we received over the year. We excel in communication…but then again we did not come across such a situation happening to us. So I really can't tell you how we'd handle it.

I just think at THIS point whatever Waxwork does it will upset people. They just have to sit it out and so are the rest of us who want a copy.

At the end of the day day (3 days...:)) we all know that waxwork will deliver an awesome product and a bonafide, hands down, 5 star CLASSIC horror film score. (that being said, one of you guys needs to get Elm street, OWS? Spencer? we're looking at you.)
Sure, I'm upset, but you know what, it wasn't long ago that we didn't have these awesome labels giving us Horror fans these unbelievable releases.

Having said that ;)...drop the damn thing already! haha

Thanks for the kind words Spencer, Seb, and Layne.

We're working on it. A crash like the one we experienced isn't a quick fix. We had to point the website to a completely new server (numerous of them!) and like Spencer mentioned with The Fog release, this is something that can take 48 hours to resolve.

We don't want to give out false information. What we can do is let you know what we are truthfully doing, and that is working non stop on getting the site back up and running at 100%.

Although they're super brutal, we have been keeping up to date with the Facebook messages.
Twitter and this board are much more civil. There have been many claims that Waxwork hasn't been communicating. It seems that folks are truly looking for us to give them a time and date, and we simply cannot do that right now.

We will make an official announcement when we know the site is ready to roll. Continuously blasting the site, leaving nasty comments, and hitting F5 will only cause you a headache.

We're on it.

Thanks for the update Kevin! Can you do me a favor and make sure not to release it tomorrow between 4am and 11amEST? I'll be in the car driving to Delaware ;)

I'm at my desk all day anyway. If it hits when I'm looking, I'll try for the blood filled, if not, I've already ordered through LITA to make sure I get mine!

You could personally call everyone on FB to give them an update and they'd probably be mad at you interrupting their day.

Morning guys !
I know why the "big fat babies" bark at Waxwork Records on Facebook, they don't have their sugar, poor boys and girls frustrated by a forthcoming vinyl. I am not very gracious, but, hey ! Don't blame labels for the troubles in web traffic...bouh...i stop... Got a rehearsal tonight, so i will sing with my phone next to me...

Guys we all know they're just mad because it's the end of the month and they were counting on flipping this record to pay the bills.

@brentonwalter 100% agreed. maybe they'll get so ticked that real fans can have a fair crack at the ones they want. Here's hoping.

And straight away facebooks reaction is terrible , I really do hate the way people talk to each other nowadays , there's no need be like that with WW it is only a record after all and soon enough we will be moaning about trying to get twin peaks (joke)

Just to clarify, I'm not suggesting you put out false information or make rash promises. It's enough to say we're still working on it, we'll update in x hours. That lets people get up and walk away from the furious invective they're intently typing on the internet!

I'll almost be sorry when you do fix it, as based on the amount of interest, I've no chance of getting the bloody variant anyway! :)

Nice to hear WW notices that the people here on this forum are different then the majority on FB. Hope all will go well for them and they get the record online soon. Without many problems. For me.. Honestly would be already happy to have a splatter or split. Could buy the murky one from someone else, but really want to support WW with this release. Good luck everyone!

A thought I have had for Facebook pages (may have occurred to me during the Fog debacle), is to update them 30 minutes later than everything else. Those people are terrible. The "come on, come on," stuff here is nothing compared to the schoolyard shit that gets posted there. They don't deserve information.
