Beyond the Infinite is an all-analog synth re-score of 2001 with a fully synced 134 minute running time by OGRE and Dallas Campbell. No vinyl component yet, but there are preorders available for digital and cassette. Only one track is available to preview and the cassette box is, shall we say, pricey, but that one track is amazing as is the scope of this project. In brief, it looks really cool. Check it out.

Rough Trade records are very pleased to announce the release of a 7” EP of music written by Jarvis Cocker for the TV series “ Likely Stories”.

Jarvis worked on the score for the series with musicians Alasdair Malloy (percussionist to Scott Walker), Serafina Steer, Sarah Anderson, Jenny Moore (collectively known as Bas Jan), Martin Slattery (The Hours, Black Grape) & drummer Tom Skinner (Melt Yourself Down). Adrian Utley (Portishead) makes a guest appearance playing synth & Swarmatron on the Main Theme.

And talk of this one of course...

Shame that Mondo/DeathWaltz didn't get to do their deluxe treatment thing but this example looks interesting

Staying on an Italian tip, I see Rustblade is already doing a volume 2 of their Ennio Morricone 'Paura' compilation that originally came out for RSD

Funny, just started binge watching show yesterday and really liking it. Even tweeted that I would like this soundtrack on vinyl and here it is :-)

You can listen to the main theme on spotify. I like it very much personally.

Thanks for the tip, Phantom, it's lovely. A perfect tune for a gloomy late Spring morning in the Northwest.

John Murphy (composer of score for "28 Weeks Later" and "Sunshine") has a new album out called "Anonymous Rejected Filmscore." Unfortunately, the signed version of the vinyl is no longer available, but the non-autographed version of the vinyl is still available.

Wasn't aware of this one at all - wonder if it was actually rejected for real, or conceived as an imagined film score project. Intrigued to know the story. Either way, someone has posted the entire thing on YouTube which is helpful for anyone considering a purchase:

MONDO SANGUE - L'ISOLA DEI DANNATI

Anyone know anything about this ? the label is ''Allscore" (http://www.allscore.de) . Is it some kind of re-score/alternate score to a movie that never was ? I can't seem to find this movie on imdb, unless it refers to THIS but then the directo is not the same. Who's this Luchino Martello ? In any case, the previews that are found on the allscore page and on german amazon are nice. single LP with a poster.

Digging into the AllScore website: "Mondo Sangue (film music composer Christian Bluthardt and singer Yvy Pop) pay a passionate tribute to the iconic music of 70s erotica and carnivore movies. The limited (666!) hand numbered 180g vinyl edition includes a filmposter sized 42x60cm. To be released 2016-6-6.

Guys I gotta say the new Umberto record is fucking incredible .....

Easily the best thing he has done , It has a 4AD vibe to it with some incredible female vocals , also fees like he has been watching lots of folk horror to inspire him , couple of his more usual synth bangers on there but seriously this is a pretty great record that shouldn't be overlooked in a crowded marketplace ... I would have killed to have this on DW Originals .....
