@ChrisMcQueen - Nice to see that Dimensione Violenza album in your collection. Excellent addition.

@Bez - I have been living vicariously through your spins, great to see all that table time going on. I will have to check out that upcoming Mondo Sangue LP.

I hope they do an another Brigitte/Goraguer volume, especially if there are more unreleased tracks of a similar quality.

@Revolver_OcelScott - Street Force LP looks killer, another one that is on my wantlist.

The Fantasy World of Shigeru Mizuki

A Collection of soundtrack and BGM material from screen adaptations of Shigeru Mizuki's manga work. I only of know Ge ge ge no Kitaro and Akuma-kun.
Really great little record everything, obviously, has a spooky tone to it, and it has a 60's beat Jazz vibe to it, and some nice jazzy Latin flavours too. The discogs link mentions funk which is misleading a much more late 50's 60's sound.

Dollar that one looks really cool!

Some lovely vibes on this trovaioli, pretty stuff, some Edda / I cantori Moderni wordless vocals on maybe four variations of the main theme. There's also one solid up-tempo jazz-funk number towards the end.

All good stuff, Bez!

I was listening to shark vibes while I watched Alabama win another championship...gross.

I do have a spare copy of this one for sale. Plays well, but the cover has some wear. Vinyl VG+ jacket VG-.

It's been a painful few weeks, my droogies, but it looks like there's light at the end of the tunnel.

To explain...

My beloved Goldring Lenco GL85 up and died over xmas. Tried all the obvs things - no joy. I've been waiting for a pal to come over to help with prognosis.

In the meantime, I happened to look on The Bay and as chance would have it, there was a fully working and prof serviced 85 with low initial bids. You never see them, and they can go upwards of £250 in full W/O. But took a punt, and scored it for £70!

Plan is to collect from London and perhaps swap out all the innards into my (super rare) white plinth, or if we can get my current deck back in action somehow I'll have a backup deck/parts.

Still, Im not terribly patient and the enforced wax hiatus is bloody killing me!
