AUDIO: only offers a new 7.1 Atmos mix, which is not terrible in its own right, but is definitely "revisionist" and "modern", emphasizing sound effects over score. Those of us who know this movie inside and out, and who have seen it countless times with all previous "more faithful" mixes (2.0, 4.1, and 5.1) are pretty upset at how different the balance between effects and music sounds. If you are NOT as familiar with all previous releases, or if this is a more "casual" favorite for you, then you probably won't notice much of a problem. But if you're a die-hard fan (like myself), then the new audio can possibly even be categorized as a "deal-breaker".I am not a die-hard anything so maybe I don't mind. But to be honest I cannot imagine there really are going to be a lot of people who are going to be disappointed with this mix. I am very curious to here the experiences of others.
Minor correction, it is a DTS:X mix. No Dolby anything on this disc.
