@nathan Yes, the 'audiophile' repress. I can imagine it will sound better than this press. Its not terrible but I can hear how it could be better. I don't know what the source was like but assume was worth utilising for audiophile treatment. Tigerlab have been quiet since opening their sub. Hopefully they will finally be getting records out in the next month or so. I think at one point they were hoping to have released most of the titles from their sub by now :D

They may be doing a straight repress AND an audiophile remaster, not sure of forces inclusion but I know lots have asked.

I, too, missed this and will definitely be in for a repress of any kind

I was messaging Jon a few weeks ago and he said that the first two releases of the sub are ready to go so I'm not sure what the hell they are waiting on. I remember when Vampire Hunter D was also supposed to be a Halloween release before being switched to part of the sub. It would be nice if they would publicly put out there whats going on, these were supposed to start in September? Lol

It's a whole new audiophile press, being mastered by the guy who did the Mort Garson Plantasia reissue. Josh Bonati Ithink is his name. Different artwork & packaging on the set, black vinyl 180g. I can't remember but I'm pretty sure no Forces, that was left off over crazy licensing issues. From what I've been told the vocal tracks on a lot of that stuff is very hard to license for various reasons.

In honour of David Lynch trolling twitter by hypeing a big announcement today (which got everyone buzzing, talking about a possible return to moviemaking etc - but actually, he just announced that he'd continue doing his daily weather report!), I have pulled a stack of OG soundtrack pressings from my Lynch shelf for a little session. If I can keep going I might also spin some of my rarities at the end :)

Wish I had an original VS copy.

(yes, I have a pile of unplayed library and Italian crime stuff to listen to, but my son is insisting we’re listing to all horror scores tonight.)

It’s crazy how similar a few parts of this score sound to Schrifrin’s Amityville Horror score.
