First up though some Iron Man. We just got back from Endgame. I’m a sap anyway but many tears were shed.

Endgame was fantastic. I had many issues, but for culminating 22 movies, this is as good as you can possibly do.

I've had an idea for trying to tackle this feeling for a while, just haven't quite gotten around to it yet. Would involve a bit of time, effort and discipline. Maybe this year...

(It's based on an old music blog I used to follow, where a guy went through his record collection an album at a time, the twist being that he introduced his non-music-nerd wife to each album and she gave her reaction/thoughts. A great idea and very entertaining! I was considering co-opting the format with focus on just my film music LPs, alphabetically, and drafting my poor unsuspecting gf in. Or perhaps inviting a different friend round for each record. The bigger twist would be, doing it as a podcast - that's the length of the whole album playing either in foreground or background, depending if myself and 'guest' have stuff to say during the playback.)
I have had a couple of very similar notions to this. Interesting.

@tim great idea. Have not spun this one for at least a couple of years.

After the first side I was thinking "this is 'alright' but I think I get why it had not been released"
Then I play the second side and get my mind blown. The second side is definetely much better than I remember.

^ nice ones @Static!

This one I haven't spun in two years I think. I haven't been collecting for that long, nor do I have as many records as some of you :-)

I do miss the old OWS days.

^ Very nice. Both on my list, though I tried to watch Ghostland (loved the premise) but sadly gave up as the dialogue and acting were horrible to my ears. Might try again.

What do you guys mean you "miss one way static"? Do they not put out as much as they used to? I still see a few records from them every now and then but I never followed them closely so I feel like I'm missing something.

OWS is a part of a lager company. Tidal I believe. They also took over Strange Disc. Releases are still fine.
But when OWS started it was this small company with the OWS club I was a member of. Great tape releases. Excellent customer service. For me it is pure nostalgia although it only has been a couple of years.

Thanks @bez. I just assumed that Strange Disc & OWS were partners in some of their stuff, I didn't realize a larger company actually swallowed them up. Are the original operators of the labels still involved or is it completely run by something bigger and they are just a brand they market?

I believe the original people behind the labels still have a lot to say. I believe Seb from OWS does. He posts every new OWS/Strange Disc release on the boards. And also appears to add them to Discogs.

Was just the good ole days at the beginning. Death Waltz and OWS were both doing great small subscriptions, it was all very new and exciting!

How is that Mark of the Devil release @bez? I've had it in my cart a few times in the past but never pulled the trigger.

I really like the wax color on that Candyman 2. It's been ages since I've seen part 2 and can't remember for the life of me what it sounds like, is it similar to the first one?

I love Mark of the Devil. There is also a tape version...
I still do not own the first Candyman... Candyman 2 sounds nice but is short. Disc is badly warped though. Plays fine on side A but for side B I played the other variant. I did receive a replacement copy but that is still sealed.
I have only played it a couple of times. Mark of the Devil I have played a lot more.
