New Steve Moore double from Relapse. Solid score, jacket has a UV spot finish on the front. Pressing has light background noise throughout like they maybe used recycled vinyl. Not too bad, but it's there. The cut itself sounds great, dynamic, etc.

Yeah, it's strange that the album was only released in Japan. I wish my copy still had the obi, but I picked up this white label promo copy for ~$20 USD. I could see Vombis pressing a nice replica LP similar to their Concorde Affair '79 reissue, although they did not include an obi strip with that one either.

You do know Christian Gaubert's other funky jam 'last Exit'. A Jazzfunk boogie monster, with a very classy French sound. It has been reissued and it's a solid reissue. Check the tracks 'sweet maryline' and 'sweet and fool like a child', Highly recommended.

Utterly brilliant release from Roundtable - the film is an early cult sci fi allegory from Peter Weir, the score (once thought lost) is an incredibly eerie, 70s synth wonder. Think Vangelis meets Phase IV.

Revisiting this superb release... Mad Season - Sonic Evolution live with the Seattle Symphony, January 30 2015. Heavy jacket, 8-page color booklet, printed inner sleeves, amazing music. And Chris Cornell standing in for Layne Staley, maybe the only guy alive who can sing it right. Would have given my left arm to see this show!

There's apparently a red w/ black splatter press out there in small numbers.

And on the total polar opposite spectrum of what deaf's spinning haha... What do you get when you combine George Clinton, Parliament, Bootsy Collins, the Horny Horns, James Brown, Sly Stone, Brides of Funkenstein, Andre Foxxe, Funkadelic, Ron Dunbar, Bernie Worrell and friends? One hell of a funky album! To think I brought this to four record shows and no one threw $12 at it. Well screw em, I'm keeping it now.

Great 1970 funk/soul album on Volt. She was a Motown artist in the early/mid 60s but I like this later effort best.

Last one for the night. Going through my funk/soul bin to list on Discogs and pulling more out to keep than I am listing... Oops...

This one is mostly middling except "I'm Gonna Run Away From You" which has kind of a northern soul sound and my pick from the disc "Mo Jo Hanna" which is nice and funky. This is a white label DJ promo in mono instead of stereo. Good samples elsewhere on the album as well.
