back from some digging and business trips and brought some goodies back home. i would like to recommende some more Alessandroni for the summer...

Franco De Gemini & Alessandro Alessandroni ‎– L'Armonica A Bocca (Pony XLP 10013)
amazing bossa, beat & funk infulenced lounge LP. underrated and still unknown to many people. there is a seccond pressing on Beat Records with a extra cheesy cover which might be cheaper.

another one in the summer mood:

Alessandro Alessandroni - Fischio Amore Mio (Flower LEW 0552)
Johnny Trunk claims anohter album to be the best whistling record but i say it's this one. haunting and blissful melodies. give you the chills sometimes. Alessandroni at his best. this is his best one from his Flower library output IMHO.

more summer madnesssss...

Alessandro Alessandroni ‎– L'Ora Del Cocktail (Cenacolo ‎– M 720)
the funny thing is that this one uses some of the industrial synth instrumentals from the Industrial album (which was recently re-released by Finders Keepers) and adds some cold blooded female scat. such a great record and also quite overlooked, this is avaliable for cheap still but will cost a million dollars once people discover how good this is... not to be omitted from your next cocktail party. personal holy grail...

Very nice, lol where did you find Tempo libero?! I got slaughtered like a fatted calf on the recent eBay auction, I can't remember but think it went up to like five hundred.

@Texas: got a copy from the same source as the guy who sold it on ebay. i think somebody found archive copies like the Umiliani stuff that is floating arround since a few months. apparently there were always only 50 Pandas made but who the hell knows if thats true? i assume more copies will pop up soon...

the Drammatico on Panda is a tough one to track down. the last and only copy on ebay sold for arround $2300

i heard it once, the record is absolutely mental...

Only 50! :o

I once had that 'music orientale' library on the panda label many years ago. I remember it being really well mastered/pressed.

@dollarhyde: 50 is not confirmed bu it is something that i heard a few times in collectors circles. would make sense considering the releases that show up for sale. they hardly ever pop up. doesn't matter, i there's one thing that can be confirmed is that Panda is bloody rare and some of them are bloody nice...

@deaf: i keep my hand off this record as it will kill me anyway. either by listening to it or by my wife finding out what i paid for it...haha!

@million: I hear you on that for sure. Hard to believe the people that drop tens of thousands on Beatles LP's and such. Compared to that, what's a measly four grand? ;)

Do you know anywhere to hear digital rips of the whole Drammatico LP?

Fairly vague message on the Cometa site currently: Butterfly flies again!!We found in our archives the master tapes of the inedit original music of "BUTTERFLY # 3" (1971-72)by Alessandro Alessandroni. What do you say ... it is worth pressing it on vinyl LPs ????

My answer.......yes.
