Wow - a friend was at a record fair today and found a box of soundtracks, mostly in great condition, for £2 each. He took the time to ring me and tell me everything that was there, and I picked out the following quintet which he later proceeded to deliver to my house!

A winning day for having good buddies who have got your back :)

HARRY & TONTO - Bill Conti (1974, Casablance)
THE ANONYMOUS VENETIAN - Stelvio Cipriani (1970, United Artists)
THE RIGHT STUFF / NORTH AND SOUTH - Bill Conti (1986, Varese Sarabande)
HOWARD THE DUCK - Thomas Dolby / John Barry (1986, MCA)
FLESH & BLOOD - Basil Poledouris (1985, Varese Sarabande)

First on the deck is the Poledouris - love that movie and score, have been keeping an eye out for it for years...

@ Deaf, they are really good. That Lolita score is beautiful! I ordered House from Transmission. Will take a couple of weeks to arrive. Looking forward to that one.

I can remember when I was young trying to show this film to a new girlfriend. We had only been dating like a week and it might have been a bit too early . She was a dead ringer of the lead blonde actress and by the time the breast was being cut off in the film, she basically had enough. lol Another failed attempt at merriment! Love this film and score.

@deaf - I wish I could share more industry stories but many of the participants are still in the living (and that is a good thing) and some are talked about on this board.

Digging this.....a bit dialogue heavy but it makes it a fun listen.
Kind of a good work album to have going on in the background.
Nice clean sounding copy...happy to add this to my collection.

This is a movie I fell in love with solely due to the set design. Dustin Hoffman is living in this big, barren, mid century minimalist loft in NY. Awesome place! It is basically the story of Dustin and Mia waking up after a one night stand and getting to know one another. Nothing really to the soundtrack...odd song sung by a young Jeff Bridges.

Fred Myrow: Blue Angels

This is a completely schizophrenic soundtrack...all over the place. Some good bits...bad bits...and tracks that make you wonder why you even listen to soundtracks.
