Aha. My girlfriend suffers from some form of insomnia. Although it can be handy when wanting to binch watch a new series, most of the time it simply fucks up your weeks.

ScoJo - How was Thinner? Is it even worth watching?

I did not work on the film but something I made ended up being it. Long story short - As a young kid sculpting stuff for my portfolio I made a corpse type head. Over the last 20 years, as a running joke, my friend has stuck this head in at least six or seven movies. When he was working on thinner, production ran into trouble of what to do with the ending of the film...and they were like we need a corpse of a lady by tomorrow. So my friend took this head I made...stuck a women's wig on it and some makeup.

It might look like complete shit in the film but I have never seen it yet...curious if it warrants a full watch?

Great story! And no...it is not worth watching I'm afraid. Skip to the end and check out your dead head gag though, I'm sure it'll give you a smile to see what they did with it!

@Tex - world beating effed up movie, in my hall of fame fo sho. Early days of vhs, my pal and i used to rent a tape on a friday night when his folks were out, usually sexy horror stuff. (I recall Cat People especially fondly!) We rented Possession because it looked like a horror. We were both mouth agape at that one. I dare say seeing that flick at around 12yrs old was a total game changer for me.

Just finished S1 of Mindhunter (ugh, that title...)

Loved it! Very slow burn, great characters, it's like an unofficial 'birth of Will Graham' in many ways.

Already champing at the bit for the just-announced S2...who the fuck is that guy we kept seeing?? (Since there are so many real serial murderers in it, we're to assume he will be a famous real figure too?)

I got a dvd box set of ray Bradbury theatre. Some serious dross in there, but some classic stories and high production values. Unfortunately the whole thing needs remastering both picture and sound but it’s actually pretty good tv

I’ve been rediscovering this on amazon prime. Yeah the picture quality leaves a lot to be desired and I’m sure the elements could be bumped up, but there’s some great stuff on that, especially the first two seasons. Guest starts galore. He has such a perfect way of capturing mood, and a lot of those episodes get that perfectly. The one with goldblum is a personal fav.

Tex - At the moment I cannot think of another film similar to Possession. It is so intense... surrealistic and realistic at the same time with some incredible performances. Definitely a driven artist behind the work.

Meanwhile I’m watching abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein...it is, as always, an utter joy.

I’d love to track down some of these old universal horror scores on some format or another, son of Dracula in particular has some great spooky nonsense on it.

Had a look on YT and couldnt find the original theatrical ending, only a fan edit 'book ending' which omits your handywork! So it seems that corpse gag was added when they monkeyed with final reel after test screenings? Well anyhow, here's it's moment of glory grabbed from the dvd ;)
