I know there were some issues with pressings (my standard 'Snow' version was ponied, and was quickly replaced by WW with a clean copy) but this deluxe sounds great. I hope everyone got what they wanted/a good sounding copy in the end.

How is that Hell House? I thought I heard the sound quality wasn't to great because it seemed to be audio ripped direct from the movie instead of the isolated score.

That's right - the Hell House master tapes are lost, this is cues ripped from a dvd...in fact, I actually recognise the edit as a file which was shared by a blog back in the day named The Master Cylinder! So they were in fact too lazy to rip the audio themselves before pressing to wax haha!

Nice little thing to have though, since we'll never get an actual music release for the film - comes with screen printed sleeve, big patch and the vinyl itself is a lovely thick, flat lathe cut (39 of 50)

If anyone would be remotely interested, I've always had the thought to do a proper in-depth breakdown of all the Wicker Man releases - I have four different versions on vinyl, and each has it's own distinct charms etc.

Haha....yep, you'll forever be 'Herk Harvey' to me, Hatter - even if that's not how you see yourself! ;) Just don't go popping up floating outside my car window at night please heh heh.

Wicker Man - good stuff, I will probably tackle this at some point then. A breakdown of each release of the soundtrack, it's background, contents, unique features, sound quality etc. as I say, have been thinking to do so for a while but hey - as long as one other soul is interested, I'm up for it! The crazy thing is, each release really has been different, enough so that you kinda need ALL versions :-O
