WOW, Finders Keepers is doing "Les Chemins de Katmandou" (The Pleasure Pit), a long considered to be lost soundtrack by Serge Gainsbourg and Jean-Claud Vannier!! Both Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin play in the film by the way.

Can't wait!

New release from Burning Witches Records - MAINE V

Double vinyl, insert, download and slipcase. Vinyl version exclusive tracks. With art and design by Hauntlove and Michel Dupay.

You may have already seen our pal at Spun out of control are handling the cassette version as they did with IV. Michel himself asked us to look after the vinyl duties which we were more than happy to help with. The bass synth sounds alone kill me and album production is beautiful. A continuation and evolution of IV.

Available and shipping immediately from https://burningallwitches.bandcamp.com/
And available from Mondo and Transmission on Wednesday

@BurningTapes - Very nice. MAINE has been in the heaviest of rotations for me lately, and that vinyl package for V looks solid.

Thanks. We are really pleased how it turned out. Have to say the pressings are solid too. It was really risky for us to go double vinyl, but I think the sound quality of it pays off.

Agreed that the package looks great, BT. Out of curiosity, in what sense is the 2xLP model risky?

BurningTapes wrote:@mateo Long and short of it - it costs twice as much. Therefore we have to charge more and that could turn people off.
Gotcha. That makes sense, but hopefully won't be the case.

Love that MAVS 'jogger' record, especially as London is hunting a jogger who pushed a pedestrian under a bus. Movie should be made of this guy, total nut - but what makes him try and murder people while jogging? Does he have an evil spirit inside him, released by the Crossrail exhumings?

Any heads on here seeing Good Times tonight? I'm excited to hear the OPN score. I spin his stuff on the regular and always wondered why he hasn't done more film work. Apparently he won best score at Cannes for this flick.

Cheers.

I'm pretty sure Spencer mentioned that DW worked with Lakeshore on the release. So each company has their own pressing it looks like.

I preordered the F out of the lakeshore pressing :)

I find this a bit odd - but fine, 2 re-releases is better than none. People can choose which artwork/packaging they prefer (maybe there's a black vinyl version from either DW or LS, that would then be my preference).

It indeed was mentioned this was a joined release. However I did not expect it to have to different styles of packaging. As I already have a [boast mode] signed original [\boast mode]I am going for the DWRC version. The artwork teased looked very promising.
