@ScoJo - I saw this elsewhere last Monday and am quite enamored with the notion that tracks 18-20 will be revealed on week-by-week basis. That and no version will be available (even streaming or dl) until the show's completion. Plus, that cover slays.

just want to recommend this as it was not mentioned yet. collected library nuggets from french (or belgian?) super composer Rene Costy. i have some of his library output but don't have this 2LP reissue so can't judge on sound quality or the product itself but the selection is very nice! will save you a lot of money...

peep the sound samples over at hhv.de

Thanks a million, @million! This is right up my boulevard - 15 seconds in and I know I'm jumping aboard.

The music is great, and the cost(y) is right too! :)

Ps. for your info, he's 100% Belgique it seems :))

Pps. In the UK, it's in stock for £24.50 from Juno :)))

Bummed that Social Network disappeared, was hoping they might throw some more stock up there.

Stoked for Quake. I have some of the tracks on the Dead Souls LP boot.

Was thinking of grabbing an orange Lost Highway as that's one of my favs.

I'm not mad at all regarding the delays, I know they are trying to release their definitive versions.

Trent sent out an email yesterday or the day before highlighting the issues.

I'm hard pressed to think of a rock star like him who has so consistently cared about his fans over the years, always a stand up guy.

Social Network must have been just a few old stock copies, it sold out basically instantly back when the reissues went up for pre-order ages ago. Would have liked a copy myself. Quake will be awesome!

Ok, I know we are of mixed (generally very negative) opinions of these, but donkey kong and metroid are up...

Ah yes, I see. Thanks Tex ! I feel like Mondo has to be thinking of doing a version of those. I mean, if they did Contra and Castlevania, they must be thinking of doing more classics.

I need to think about what to do now

I'd *definitely* support any label that can convince Nintendo to license a AAA title like Zelda or Metroid. Aside from Shiptoshore getting Mother and Mother 2 I'm not aware of any Nintendo stuff getting licensed out.

Contra and Castlevania are Konami which has definitely been doing some deals. Mondo's Contra release is awesome!! And of course Mega Man was done very nicely by Spacelab9 with the NES style dust cover !

Anyway, I did grab these boots if only as placeholders until something better turns up.

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do, Tex. I think most everybody at STBC has a boot or two(hundred) in their racks.

As brought to my attention by STBC Brother Spun over on Twitter earlier today, Bleep has two (count 'em, TWO!) Twin Peaks Limited Event Series (AKA Season 3) LPs up for preorder. It sort of reads as if one is the soundtrack (which we knew about) and the other the score (which is news to me). Either way, here they are: https://bleep.com/twin-peaks-limited-ev ... t%20Series.

PS - Up at Amazon US as well.

For those folk who don't dip into our own thread, we've the OST to 400_Days by Polish composer Wojciech Golczewski up for pre-order on our Bandcamp and at retail (though the latter is mostly sold out).

This is a stunning electronic score that shifts between pretty ambient passages and industrial electronics, for fans of Cliff Martinez's score for Solaris and Steven Price's Oscar winning score to Gravity. Yes, it really is that good. It has also been compared with Mogwai and Fuck Buttons.

We're releasing it tomorrow (June 10th) on two funky cassette shells, both complementing its spacey sounds and themes - one white with silver spaceman imprint and the second variant in 'Stars & Stripes'; a special red, blue and silver glitter version.

Both tapes come with the album as a digital download. This is the first time the album has been available on any physical format. Licensed from Lakeshore Records, a collaboration which is another first for us.

Artwork once again by Eric Adrian Lee.

If this sounds up your street, head here to pick it up on 'launch': http://www.spunoutofcontrol.com

A Portland label called Wyrd War (@Deaf, you know these guys?) that i'm unfamiliar with is releasing Andrew Belling's score to Bakshi's Wizards. The film can get tiring real fast (like most of his work IMO) but the score is a wild one and I've always loved it. Picked up the la la land CD a few years back and it gets a fair amount of listens so i'm excited to hear it on wax. Jazzy, Folksy, Synthy....it's a real ride of a score.

I ended up hanging out with William Stout a bunch at mondocon this year, (We may have ended up getting a ride with him to the gallery show without realizing the shuttle that Mo ushered us into was for artists...whoops) and he said his poster for this movie (which is also of course the sleeve art) is probably his most well known piece of work.

I pre-ordered from twoheadeddog, and it looks like its up at Juno also for the UK.

Also Intrada is releasing a 3 CD set of Goldsmith's Poltergeist 2 score which is one of my all time favorites from him. not wax, but the second disc is the same track listing as the first and is labeled "Analog Mixes" so maybe there's something in the pipeline, as I'd love an expanded release of that to go with the OG.
