I really like the ST:TMP score a lot as well. I think it's a bit overlooked actually because of the ubiquitousness off the film and franchise it is attached to. After I finish crushing Twin Peaks, I'm going to give the original Star Trek series a go on Netflix as well. I hear it looks great and I have fond memories from my youth.

@vinyljunkie - Nice recommendation on the Morricone Youth LP. It's at the top of my want list right now.

@Bez - Excellent picks, hope you are enjoying your telecommute with such great tunes to spin.

Busted out Part III, such a thriller!

Terrible news. RIP, Mr. Paxton. One of my favorite actors.

I just received this from Tiger Lab, and I still cannot believe it's real:

If you had told me decades ago that this was going to be released on vinyl in 2017 I would have been incredulous. What possible dark, twisted future could we be experiencing to have the soundtrack of the most infamous of all 80's anime series released on a 2LP? Who, besides myself, would even buy such a thing? Channel your inner demon, and hop aboard the supernatural 80's synthcoaster that is Urotsukidōji:

@Static -

Was just saying to another member how surprised I am by the loss I feel right now. The man was too fucking young dammit!

I'm going to see if a double "Bill" of Weird Science and Near Dark might help me through this. No way I could cope with Tombstone right now :((

Ps. Check your mail sir.

Same here, fellows. It has hit me far harder than I ever would have expected. Such a damn bummer.

This edition has been on my want list for sometime now. I was finally able to get a sealed copy at a decent price.

Death Wish 3 probably takes the cake as the most ridiculous film Bronson ever made, and this one isn't too far behind. Not a bad score though.

I kind of love the film 10 To Midnight. It's way over the top and hokey as all get out in spots, but it has that Grit and Grime; that patina. Sharkey's Machine was like that, too. Iffy film made better by the raw atmospherics of 70s exploitation cop/serial thrillers.

Bronson's later movies are a lot of fun. I have to watch Death Wish 3 once a year. You know it's not going to be a good day when Paul Kersey is coming into the worst part of NYC at the beginning of the film on a Trailways Bus...oh man!

My favourite Old Bronson moment is in the trailer for Death Wish 4:The Crackdown. Chuck has burst into the bad men's lair listlessly waving his piece and when they say 'who are you??' he answers 'Death' as though he's just been asked if he wants a piece of toast!

A couple thoughts listening to this one. Do we think Mondo/DW are going to continue releasing scores from the Halloween franchise the way WW is with F13? And is part 5 worth picking up? Looks like it's half score, half pop songs.
