Finally I get to sit down and do some listening.
Was hoping to find La Coda dello Scorpione at my door step. Unfortunately there only was a note saying I can pick it up at the post office tomorrow after paying the custom duties of 23 euro... Fuck. Motherfucker. Fuck fuck fuck.
Okay that is out of my system. Now some tunes...

Thanks Static. Next up is Amer. it starts with a number of locked grooves of infinite dark sounds. I didn't realise at first and listened to about 5 minutes of dark humming loops. I was just thinking how repetitive it sounded when I realised. Once you get into the music, it's absolute gorgeousness.

Varese have just re-pressed Rob Walsh's sought-after Revenge of the Ninja score, but sadly only on CD :(

GF is out for the night seeing some crappy local bands, and I feel a Power Hour coming on! There may well be some Di Cola lined up next...

@ScoJo: Sweet!

Since I pre ordered the new Drumetrics EP, thought I'd spin the old ones. The first one is called MMR (I think). Another locked groove caught me out!

Finally adding this to my collection. Used, off ebay at a very reasonable price. Jacket showing a few signs of wear but the vinyl is in really good condition. The score itself is turning out to be better than I expected. Shades of early Donaggio and Christopher Young. Really enjoying it. Recommended.

Hmm, intrigued. Wonder if the film is worth watching?

All I can say about this, having neither seen film nor heard score before......

...is HOLY SHIT!!

After one listen, this might well have conquested its way into my all-time greats. It's simply incredible.
If you dig large-scale, emotional adventure scores (Last of the Mohicans, Da Vinci Code, Legend/Goldsmith, Last Temptation of Christ all come to mind) you should make it your goal to track this down. Incredible that I waited so long.

Funnily enough, I spotted it on The Bay and noticed that the seller was actually in my city so proposed doing it 'off the books' and maybe saving on postage too/collecting - really nice guy, he actually delivered it to me and we met up on the high street to do the deal. It was like The Spy Who Came in from The Cold or something, first time going all 'Tinder' for me with this soundtrack obsession. Where* WILL it end??! ;-)

* The answer you're looking for is blowing some dude at midnight in a Tesco car park, for a VG+ rare Polish sci fi soundtrack.

Great spins people!
I got back from the postal pickup point for my Nicolai... It was closed. And it rains. Got soaked on my bike. Motherfucking fuck fuck again!

Anyways. Enough other tunes to play. That Nicolai has to wait until next week.

First up Omen I and II. The Tattoo Records US pressing was my first soundtrack on vinyl purchase ever... That was about 17 years ago I think. Now let's see how this versions sounds like.
