@Mateo Yeah it's a really nice score! Interesting story about the composer and all of his aliases on the liner notes as well.

And now for something completely different...

Poledouris' score and Grace Jones are the only two tolerable things about this flick.

" I prefer the destroyer to the barbarian" That just sent a shiver down my spine @Nathan, like someone walked over my grave.

I imagine you wearing the skin of one of your victims as you typed that out. :)

That one's up next...

Best thing about going to school in the 1980s was getting home and catching some afternoon telly - now 25 odd years later I can re-live those afternoons.

Not cheap, but knew this one would sell out very quick.

Psst... Nothing in the 1980s happened 25 years ago. SOILER ALERT: We're fully formed adult units now.

@Mateo - Soiler alert is right. ;)

Vercetti Technicolor tracks sounding sharp on this album. Some nice variations of the main theme throughout the first side, along with this beast hiding on the flip:

Just had the pleasure of listening to this round at a friend's - absolutely love it! Much more varied than I remember/was expecting from the theme tune, love the little wonky piano pieces and spooky ambient sections...kicking myself for missing out on this now, but equally happy to delay gratification until the standard release in Feb.

Moooommmmmiiiinnnnnnssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!

@ScoJo

Did you read the Andy Votel liner notes? Almost over-written in terms of the effusiveness & degree of detail therein... this was obviously a passion project for them...

Hence going the extra mile with these fancy sleeves and all, which looks like it's becoming a bit of an FK habit after their introduction on the Belladonna release. The ltd Ciani package was also lovely.

Mind you, I do enjoy a nice affordable release around the £17 mark for an LP too - which is another attractive thing about the label.

@deaf & @mateo - agreed on all counts. ;)

Tough not to love the Sudden Impact theme. One of my longtime favorite film series from way back when.
