got rid of most Macchi and kept only a few selected ones like this one on Gemelli. the music is great plus you get a beautiful cover art, sublime pressing and ultra-heavy cardboard sleeve. i am always worried when somebody is standing next to my rack because when this brick-like record will drop, it will probably kill...but when the needle drops it kills anyway, haha!

willing to get rid of this one too if somebody is offering a good trade...

Voix is a great library, one of the best Macchi experimentations and nice heavy cover! The roundtable reissue sounds good, but the jacket on the OG is where it's at ;)

@monsterworship: this funny/kind guy was trying to contact me, too. i completed the series a while ago so i am not really interested. still out of curiosity i asked him what he was looking for. he was kind enough to tell me that somebody was offering him 1450 € for all four of the titles but at a moderate 1460 € he will sell it to me without a hesitation. if i want single titles he is willing to let them go for 600€ a pop. such a kind dude. i believe did not pay even 600€ for all 7 of them.

funny thing is that i have heard from another collector these records are not in the best shape. you better leave your fingers from Mateo...

just spinned this criminally underrated Michel Gonet record on Crea Sound. Gonet is mostly known for the Phasing News on Telemusic but this one is a widely unknown monster. it's all about chemicals with beautiful flute, great rhythm section, wild fuzz guitars and electronic elements. such a great listen! this one is a must if you are a open-minded music lover and library enthusiast...

A new Sermi compilation, some of the tracks I am not familiar with, for example I see Carnini & Guantini listed as authors of two of the tracks, but I don't know of any Sermi releases they did. The Marinuzzi Jr is from Rhythms In Suspense. A Tommaso track I can't read the exact title but don't recognize. Should be interesting, anyhow.

Mystery release on the Bruton label "Alta Tensione"
Suspenseful/thrilling big band style cues, pretty good, actually the first Bruton release I've picked up.

I also think this is the record Alamo Drafthouse uses a snippet from for their "this theater is now a no-talking zone" (or maybe it's the 'coming don't intro)

New batch of Cinedelic releases arrived today. Starting with the Messico reissue.

@million do you have one of the originals? This one is hard to find! I saw you contributed the discogs release data.

The reissue is on green or black vinyl, 600 copies, with a booklet w/ photos from Ayna and Italian + English translation of remarks from Ayna director Giuliano Giunti about the origins & history of the Ayna studio and his interactions with Macchi.

The library is unusual in track length- just five tracks, one 6'24" and the rest ~10 to 13 minutes. This is more melodic, particularly with the strings, while remaining austere and never without at least some hint of the kind of 'ticking clock' rhythmic qualities inherent to most of Macchi's compositions. Here some of the percussion has a clear Spanish/Mexican influence, and the instrumentation includes trumpet lines characteristic of a western score but without becoming a more clichéd spaghetti western.

I have never seen an original or heard this one before, and it's quite good if you like Macchi though pretty far from his strangest and most experimental stuff.

i own this Bruton but with the original UK sleeve. when i found out about the Flipper sleeves i got really excited and was trying to get some of the titles only to find out they used another jacket to try to sell their music to the italian market. these are cool to own and if this is your first Bruton you have chosen a very good title to start with...

finally back from vacation i have found this parcel in front of my doorstep. this is another milestone reissue for me. so nice to have this fine 2LP set. @Texas: i passed on the new Macchi ones as these are the type of records i play like once in my lifetime. i need enough mezcal and peyote inside my cold blood to survive Messico, haha!

another real world find i enjoy a lot. when i picked this up i expected some deep and bubbly underwater sounds but the title is a little misleading. you get some good bop on A side but i dig the B side a lot more. it really sonds like a orchestral underwater score made for movies like Thunderball or similar. nice and cheap piece...
