@Bez @tim - Thanks, it has been a very enjoyable holiday weekend with some table time. I have had Twin Peaks in my head all morning. What a knockout listen that was late last night! I have never heard an OG vinyl copy, and this was my first listen in headphones. It really took me to another place, incredible.
I would love to have a copy of Mulholland Drive. That one could also use a reissue.
this is Fantastic(a)! get yourself one. there should be one in every collection. classic exotica space-age. technically not a soundtrack but musically it could be one...
I had bought that one because of the sci fi and electronic component. I can't keep up on the Morricone releases, but I pick up a title or two every once in a while. Side B has a lot more of the tense moments. it's a nice little release.
Nuanced, layered, fusion of rhythmic biological machine with the beauty and expression and unknowable mystery of nature...Active listening is rewarded!

Shouldn't have gone for this one. $33.99 retail in the states, and the pressing quality is lacking. Also should have been keener to the fact that there are really only three cues here. You get no less than Nine(!) different versions of the title theme and four versions of another cue which is pretty similar to the first.
Don't get me wrong, it's lovely music, but it is repetitive and a noisy pressing. This may have been better suited for a 7"

Maybe an overlooked OST? Is 9:30a.m. too early for a chiptune-esque disco racing theme?
There's a lot of variety on this one, a spacy ambient track, folksy pop vocal, a psych-tinged percussive electronic funky suspense cue, a twangy banjo+synthesizer track, and that's just the first side.
