This Buddy Miles Live album should be in every collection... The Down By The River cover is superb, there's a 19 minute cover of Wrap It Up, and five of the eight tracks are more than 12 minutes long.

Continuing the Repeated Viewing worship, the rejected test pressing (21/30) - but much cherished by me - from last year's MondoCon.

Side A sounds OK, Side B noticeably bass-y, muffled on the first track in particular, but apart from that surprisingly playable.

Cheers again to @deafmetal for being my vinyl mule for this at the time.

Since being on the Vinyl Score I've realized that I have not seen many of the early movies Jerry Goldsmith scored so I'm watching the ones that we have in our library at Wake. First up was "Lilies Of The Fields". The film was light, fun, and uplifting. The score was classic early Goldsmith.

I've spun it 4 or 5 times since yesterday. Might be my favorite release of the year.

Tim I saw Varese questioning your early release of Rudy on your Twitter post since i follow Varese.

Record labels frown upon stores that sell items before the street date, so you might not want to advertise where you got it to avoid any issues for the store.

unless i'm reading into wrong ;)

How is this? Haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm rewatching the Blu ray this weekend and will try to pay attention to the score

^The copies of Rudy look wonderful. The Goldsmith crew is on top of it. :)

First day off tomorrow in almost two weeks, stoked!

This reissue by Superior Viaduct sounds perfect to me, and Goraguer is really hitting the spot tonight. Beautiful spot varnish on the thick sleeve art as well.

It's nice. Overall a pretty mellow combination of orchestral and electronics, with a handful of "action" cues. For me grabbing it was a no brainer. I really like the style of Serra's 90's scores, but they're probably not everyones cup of tea.
