2nd spin of the afternoon... and 'forced' to pick up this one after it transpired that the Wendy Carlos-like electronica used to soundtrack the trailer for Ben Wheatley's High Rise movie wasn't actually part of Clint Mansell's score.

In fact after a little Internet research it turned out to be 'Data Kiss', to be found on this Com Truise LP on the Ghostly label.

Anyway, great track.

@Dollarhyde-it would be nice if Dancing in Your Head had the 180 gram reissue treatment. I would be in for another copy. Have fun annoying the neighbors. :)

@monsterworship-that's great news on the box set. I was wondering how this was going to sound. I've never picked up anything up from Numero Group. I found out about this release from SoundStage Direct. I went to the Numero Group website last week and ordered a white vinyl set. I figured White Zombie white vinyl that works for me. I saw the green vinyl was long gone. I'm just waiting for it to arrive at the Po box now. This is going to be a five record set of noise rock madness!

Must admit I was a bit disappointed with the Mansell score on LP when there weren't more cuts like this on it. Heresy I know (and saying this as a long term Mansell fan), but will probably play this Com Truise one more.

How is that "the guest" soundtrack? One of the few RSD releases that excited me. After watching the film I went through the credits adding all the tracks og vinyl to my discogs want list, I haven't purchased any as of now but I was hoping that LP would get released over here at some point.

Also @spun many, many thanks for the reality check cassette tip off, killer album! may well get the DW release on top of the cassette when it drops

Yeah, if you like some straight up 80s goth tracks mixed with darkwave/synthwave stuff then The Guest soundtrack will be right up your street. I guess it has a bit of that Drive soundtrack vibe.

As there was no sign of it hitting UK shores couple of weeks back I bagged one from a kindly soul in the States. Now of course it has surfaced at places like Juno & Banquet for nearly half what I paid with shipping. Ah well. You never can tell ;)

@texas - Good to see you spinning some wax. It's 45 exercise for me tonight:

Managed to score a near-mint copy of this, and it sounds even better than I had hoped.

Bravissimo @deaf!

Some real 'stars on 45' there... Seven Notes in Black 7-inch! Never seen one in the wild - it just lives in my imagination on my Discogs wants list ;)

Which reminds me, did you see Il Maestro himself posted his vinyl collection the other day?

@Spun - Grazie tante! It's been a blast putting all this time into spinning 45's, and still more to come. I did catch that photo on Frizzi's instagram. Great to see that he collects his own vinyl releases, and it's fun to see him with those OG copies. I had a quick chat with him in Austin last year about those original Beat LP's. I still have a few on my list: Amore Libero and Contraband. Looking forward to the upcoming pressing of Contraband by Death Waltz.
