And this sounds bloody incredible! I passed on this Audio Fidelity re-issue initially because the UK price was stoopid, but managed to get one for half that price and just WOW. All I will say is, if you love this score and can get the reissue for £20 or so, just do it. I'm especially psyched because it's a repress of the OG US release, featuring Craig Safan's mighty 'Confrontation' track (not on my original UK edition...)

@ScoJo, I agree. I need to revisit the movie, the score is lovely! Not really sure why I put off getting it for so long. Still can be had for a cheap price.

this one is really short, but ohhh so sweet

Square record listening ritual tonight.

Both of these are quite enjoyable at 33rpm for me. I am at full attention for the upcoming Pentagram Home Video LP on Death Waltz Originals. Great tracks from Maiovvi as well -- dark and strange electronics for the Transmission opening, very fitting. Thank you @SpunOutOfControl for the vinyl assist.

Impossible to not spin this again after those little lathe-cut appetizers:
ImageOne of my favorite recent split EP's. Future technoir.
ImageI finally preordered the expanded Terminator 2LP on Milan this week. Quite excited for that one.

Utterly sublime. A great accomplishment for just "percussion, voices, and strings" as the liner notes say. Wonderful pressing on the bronze vinyl as well. This is going to get a lot of listens.

Heads up, it's 45rpm! I didn't notice for the first few tracks. :)

I feel an ongoing theme brewing tonight:

Exquisite. Worthy of all the praise it has received and then more. Lush package by Milan. Amazed that I was able to order an autographed copy of this (signed under the shrinkwrap even), as I am a big fan of Sakamoto-sama. Even the choices for the colored vinyl are really inspired. I don't know what is in the water over there at Milan, but they are firing on all cylinders right now.

Very Nice @deafmetal!

Disappointingly i was unable to attend his signing at Other Music in NYC on the drop day, Always loved his work. Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence remains a favorite film and a favorite score. My all time favorite film is The Last Emperor...not only is he in the film, but he collaborated with David Bryne on the score, which is really a masterpiece.

I know Milan was doing a repress of MCML, but i've not heard anything more about it since i saw the teased artwork, but will definitely be picking that up to supplement my OP

@reddye6 - Great to see other people posting in this thread. It's one of my favorites for sharing music and recommendations. I am not familiar with Markey Funk, but I will check it out.

For anyone who put off getting this superb score from Alexandre Desplat way back, it can now be had on Amazon from importcds for a mere $11.34 + $4 shipping. Most likely it will be the black vinyl version but well worth the cost. Still not sure? the score can be heard on Spotify.

@deaf, I personally think it is well worth $15. The bass will really give your system a workout. But, $15 is $15 after all so sample it on Spotify or youtube if you're not sure.
