Evening Mateo. Bloody love it. God knows what most of the tracks are but just have a listen to Side A on the Internet, part library, part psyche but just brilliant. I consider myself lucky to have got a copy for £45, which is still a bit of money but way less than the what it's being flipped for. It is just a bootleg after all but a very mysterious one at that.

The last track on Side A is wonderful.
I feel the same. The whole distribution of these releases is weird, there's no heads up on them from what I can see, they sell out immediately then are flipped to within an inch of their lives, but the actual track selection on previous releases is really well thought out by someone (or some people) with a real knowledge and an exceptionally carefully curated track selection. Sure, some of the tracks aren't quite to my taste but some are just superb. It's all very odd, and I can imagine their desirability going up even more when the tracks are finally identified. A weak connection has been made somewhere with a sound engineer, which could explain the relatively small pressing number, or it's all a hoax to make as much money as possible. Very interesting indeed.

Because they're darn good compilations that show a real appreciation for the music and are put together extremely well. A few of the Alien Galaxy Builder tracks have now been updated on the Discogs page but take a listen if you get a chance and I'm sure you'll be able to name a few more. Here's the description from The Vinyl Factory -

By the time you read this, they’ll probably already be sold out.

If you’ve heard anything about enigmatic reissue label Light Sounds Dark in the last few years, you’ll know immediately why this is important. If you haven’t, well, listen up. Alongside the occasional 12″ and LP, Light Sounds Dark has boiled down its output to an annual triple vinyl compilation of the rarest, most obscure, and yet utterly unmissable electronic music from the nether regions of the ’80s synthtopia.

Back in 2014, the mysterious mirror-sleeve WYWH collection made our pick of the year’s most collectible records and has demanded almost £200 online since. Last year’s Ideas Of Reference And The Luna Sea is already pushing £50. In both cases, the compilation dropped without a tracklist and was snapped up in a matter of days.

Now, the 2016 edition has surfaced, with a single day’s notice. While there is typically no information about the release Alien Galaxy Builder looks as though it may break with the industrial and darkwave focus of the previous collections, with a preliminary Discogs listing suggesting a lean towards free jazz, African, psych and Krautrock.

Such a fantastic, unique, re-score for one of my favorite horror films. I wish I could have made it to mondocon 1 to see Antoni and umberto crank this out live, must have been epic.

@Vapor - very intriguing about this Alien Galaxy Builder.

@Cult - Fully agreed, what a dark monstrosity that project turned out to be. I also wish I could have made it to MondoCon for that event. I have also seen that 2LP selling for some crazy prices online.

Starting off my first spin back home with a fresh needle and a slice of heaven:

I distinctly remember the leftovers of Hook and Pull Gang going up on dw.com before it was transmission's site and was the label direct. there were only something like 50 or so copies left over after subs and attendees and I was super excited i was able to snag one. what a great and unbelievable thing that record is, from the music itself to the package design to the perfectly off beat color on the wax. a great way to launch DWO and one of my favorite pieces.
