@texas excellent find! I have this one...beautiful theme. This was the first time I heard MACCHI. I do not know of any others.

Nice! You're not old I'm just 30 years late to the party

Bandidos is a sweet score. I've heard it a few times, but never seen one in the wild. Nice work you three.

DESCRIPTION
RARE MUSIC FROM THE COMETA LIBRARY VAULTS
would be great to see the track listing. i would hope they concentrated on the Intermezzi series as most of regular SR stuff is known to a lot of people already....

Just find the whole thing a little odd to be honest. I personally don't by a compilation without some kind of track list.

i guess you guys are too fast. would be strange if they do not publish it in the near future.

my only hopes are the sound quality is good. the Sea Fantasy was terrible to be honest. i had to chase down the original pressing. the Pheon pressing sounds so flat compared to the Vedette one. it is totally missing its depth which is what you are looking for when listening to underwater music, haha!

Sea Fantasy sounds flat ? oh man I ordered that release a couple days ago and it's arrived at the post office today, I have to pick it up, but maybe I would've passed on byuing it, if I'd known.

last monday I received my Egisto Macchi ''Pittura...'' boxset from Cinedelic, only had time to listen to one lp yet but it sounded phenomenal ! the center holes are so tight though, I couldn't get Pittura contemporanea on the table at all. I'll have to see what to do about that... Pittura Moderna No1 fit tightly, but at least it fits, and sounds superb.

I use a metal collar stay or a small pair of closed scissors to loosen center holes with a twisting motion, being careful not to widen it too much.

@milliondollars :
Ouch, those discogs comment aren't good at all. Hopefully I can still enjoy the record for what it is.

I picked up the Black Vinyl edition of the Macchi set. there was no description of the colourway on Cinedelic's store when I ordered, didn't really feel like taking a chance on the colored edition.

I'm gonna have to go back and listen to Sea Fantasy again. I don't remember being offended by the sound like I was for that crappy batch of Contempos a little while back.

Someone was quick and snagged a copy of Echoing America last night. One of us?

Also quick to go were an OG Il Corpo for an eye bleeding 1100 euros and an Inchiesta Giudiziaria on Octopus (reissued as "abormal sensations" by FK imprint Cacophonic)

HHV.DE are listing Sven Libaek 'Solar Flares' as a pre-order for tomorrow? Anyone heard anything about this? I know Votary were going to re-issue it at some point along with 'To ride a White Horse' so it could be legit.

Vapor, Roundtable have posted pictures of two Libaek reissues on their instagram recently, and as already in stock (and with a competitive instagram only offer, iirc, albeit shipping from Australia would obviously apply).
But while the listing as such is certainly legit, the date you mention is indeed surprising. hhv often have to push back availability dates, though, even when the records have been out for a while already. Frequently happens with the Dagoreds, for example.

@texas - That OG Il Corpo... is so out of my price range. It would be an amazing piece of vinyl to own some day.

Re: Sea Fantasy - I know you all have better ears than I do, but I need to listen to this again for the stereo/phasing issues.

The Solar Flares reissue on Votary should be legit:

There was an Echoing America on Discogs ? I can't remember the last time I saw one on there. Il Corpo is so, so good. But not that good.

Votary has repressed Solar Flares and Inner Space, the two most popular releases in their Libaek reissue series, and they are out there to be purchased. To Ride A White Horse has been announced as an RSD 2016 release. The only other Libaek that they had in their pipeline was The Music of Sven Libaek and that was originally scheduled for a November 2014 release along with To Ride A White Horse. No word on whether or not The Music Of is still forthcoming.

PS - Well, that's what I get for responding before I finish reading the thread. Looks like Deaf sorted you out, Vapor. Hopefully the above will be useful to someone.

PPS -Good Lord, this thread got busy while I slept. I was only in bed for five hours.

It was listed for 400 euros. Sick as it is (thats too much I think) I would have considered it... Cometa did a CD release of it in 2013, someone who speaks Italian needs to beg Ivana to press an LP.
