I will have to find some sound samples of these new Cinedelics when I get home. Too much of a pain on my tablet.

@Spun - Great heads-up on this EP. Not only is the Blade Runner inspired track utterly filthy, the "Anti-Robbery Squad" track is a cover of the Magnetic System (Bixio-Frizzi-Tempera) "Escape" from the Cinevox 45. Unreal! I just ordered a copy.

Another thanks to @spun.....snatched this up and was surprised that shipping was only a little over $5 to the States.

Ah, so that's why it sounded somewhat familiar - didn't twig when I first played the sound clips, was rather in a scramble to order as this is right up my street. Now out of stock at Juno - ha, ha, STBC strikes again!

Found this description over at bordelloaparigi.com:
"the two horror artists who co run the impressive Giallo Disco imprint don their skills to Ali Renault’s label, doing cover versions of some known film scores with an additional original track from each for good measure."

Still available over at bordelloaparigi.com:
http://bordelloaparigi.com/shop/musica/ ... alypse-12/

EDIT: ah, no Bordello also sold out.Hope my own copy arrives safe & sound

iam8bit is just going bananas with these indie game soundtracks. are any of them really good? At $40 let's be honest it's a gigantic rip off. In fact... all of these releases lately that are $30, $35, $40+ for many I do not see that much money going into the product.

For this new iam8bit one we are talking about a soundtrack to a $4 cell phone game. For $52.66 shipped domestic!! I've got some swamp land to sell you, too.

For $40 you can go to the record store and buy a badass used record from a collectible / rare LP wall. I just got a mint condition 60s stereo Blue Note reissue copy of Joe Henderson In N Out for $35. I bought OG Halloween OST (beat up jacket) for $18. The Fog OG for $25. I imported Industria 2000 (French version) for $40. Japanese mint condition Aliens 2, Psycho II, Legend complete w/ OBIs & inserts, those all cost something like $15-30 each.

These new release prices are ridiculous,. I'm just about to the point of taking a break until things calm down. and if I'm at the edge I know most people are already over it. I worry about the labels and the local shops, it just can't last.

Amiright? Am I being too harsh?

Sorry that's horribly ranty and off topic, I know we discourage that. My bad. You no like, you no buy I guess.

Well summarized texasvinyl ;)

I became picky about the new releases and all these things trying to stimulate commodity fetishism are irritating me as well.

Like everything else, I have to take all new records on a release by release basis. Hard to justify paying $30-45 (w/shipping) for a new release or reissue when I can score some high fidelity new pressings for $20-25 shipped. Often with a cd or a dl code. Some are worth the money for any number of very good reasons, but ultimately we vote with our money and every record purchased is an endorsement of that label/design/audio source/price point. You've certainly given us something to chew on, Texas, old bean.

Words of wisdom: Don't like it? Don't buy it.
If there aren't enough other people that will buy it, they will stop making it.

I'm seeing mostly all business and not enough pleasure with a lot of the new releases in general.
So its an easy pass for me. I'm also less likely to do blind buys these days unless I have some attachment to the artist or property itself.

@texas I do love the game. My kids play it and it is truly beautiful. But I agree with you. I'd much rather drop that $40 on some Umiliani reissues.

Subliminal Sounds Sweden has a pre-order up for Hashish LP

Youtube.com/watch?v=ECOifqqXro8

Forced Exposure does distro for this label so they presumably will get some stock. Shipping from Sweden was $13, not terrible for that country. Sounds pretty dope to me, kind of a rare groove cinematic psychedelia.
