Fuckin flippers!!! I just got back to the office, missed the drop and ebay and discogs have bunch for sale already. I am all for selling vinyl for what it is worth but the buy to flip right away really grinds my gears.

The Tales from the Crypt 7" won't end up on Amazon. They were exclusive to the gallery show and the few leftovers were put up today. You may find a "used" one eventually, but they won't be cheap I'm sure.

Their limited editions are not as limited as they say
For example, Studio Ghibli was limited to US and Canada, sold out quickly, and week laters was available worlwide on Amazon and other places

I was sitting at my computer when I saw the tweet that they were up, and the two colored versions were sold out almost immediately. I ended up getting the die cut black one, but $7 to ship a 7" record is ridiculous. $5 should be the max they charge because it won't cost more than $4 to ship Media Mail, then $1 for the packaging, which they buy in bulk so you know they only cost them 50 cents.

And as far as the Studio Ghibli ones go, it seems the Purple/Pink one is really hard to get, then the Yellow/Green one a little more common. The Red/Blue ones are on eBay for $30 which is what Mondo sold them for.

Shipping on the last LP I ordered from Mondo (The Deadly Spawn) was $7 plus tax (I'm in TX) & they shipped it media mail.

I think I read that "Halloween" will go up tomorrow? I doubt I'll make much effort for it. It's just stupid to have to check twitter to see when something goes on sale.

I've been saying the exact same stuff this whole time! Mondo is totally ripping people off on their shipping charges. They buy mailers in bulk, which saves them money - plus I buy from several other record labels that use the exact same protective vinyl mailers, and they still charge $4 for media mail shipping.

Since most of their stuff seems to be going to Amazon these days - it is probably smarter to just wait and buy it there, and use Prime shipping so you aren't ripped off.

I reeeeeally hope they don't put it all on sale at once. With them, since their system is all shitty and rigged...you never get more than one of something typically (like if the slip mats AND vinyl go up together, you won't get both more than likely...might end up with one before you get booted or the system locks up). I hope they stagger it all - I wasn't going to try for this record, but I definitely want to try for the poster and slip mat.

It's hard to get your hopes up for any Mondo releases though because of how their system works.

Well the listing on Amazon for the Mondo Halloween isn't there anymore. I ordered it a while back and I can see my order, but when I click on the item, it says it's not there. So now I'm worried about them filling my order. Given that this is probably going to be bigger than the Drive release, I'm not hopeful that I'll get it when it goes on sale, so I did that as a backup. I'm hoping they just pulled it because they hit their limit on what stock they'll get in place, but usually they're just say the item isn't available but the page will still be up.

Hey, any idea what time Mondo normally drop their records on a day? It's 6pm Halloween night here (or as we like to call it in Melbourne. Thursday) and what, just after midnight over there. I'm keen on getting the pumpkin slip mat but I'd also like to live my life for the next X hours. Any ideas would be rad.

Yeah it's still gonna be a few hours, 2.5-3 more hours most likely. I'm all about this release. Best one they've had in a while. I have Timecrimes which is OK, and Maniac was good but I like the DW version more. Really happy with this artwork too. It matches to mood of the film really well. Carpenter is the best, can't wait! I just wish they dropped this a few weeks back so it'd ARRIVE by Halloween.

yeah, i ordered Halloween from amazon, and it is making me nervous that the order still shows as good, but when i try to go to the product page, it no longer exists. making me re-think whether i should pick it up from mondo directly when they announce it today... and of course, those slipmats are bitchin...

I'm gonna try at Mondo, as I may pick up the pumpkin slipmat. I kinda want a poster, but I have too many already that I need to frame up (like my original one sheet for Escape From New York).
