It says Death Waltz Store Exclusive, but the description is the same as the one on the LITA listing, so is it really any different? I'm sure it's not that limited. I have Sub 3, but depending on what it looks like, that is the one release that I would buy different versions of.

Yes, it's also the same description on Norman Records, where I ended up pre-ordering it from (along with Mondo's "Halloween").

On DWR it says "LTD ONE OFF PRESSING OF 1000". I don't think all of those have sold out from the DWR Store that quickly (I could be wrong), so I'm assuming (hoping) it's the same version Norman and LITA have.

The Norman Records description is just vanilla colour, the DW Store one is vanilla and red swirl, so I think they are different.

You can get the Death. waltz cassettes via mail order from Mount Analog in California!

Hmm, I don't think DW usually sends out different colored versions to retailers, only a black edition. But we'll see...

Thanks for the heads up.
On there website they still have copies of DW The Fog - first press for sale if anyone is still looking for it.

They sold out of The Fog a few hours after they put it up originally. The page is up, but there's no option to buy. I ordered the cassettes last night, not sure when they'll update the listing to indicate when they sell out, as I don't believe it's automated, but they'll process first come first serve.

A Field In England is still for sale, surprisingly, since it's the rarest soundtrack of those.

Supposedly. Not sure if they gave all the remaining cassettes to Mount Analog or not. There are supposed to be the Carpenter prints if there are any left. Is there anything I'm missing?

"All proceeds go to the American Human Society."

presumably to make up for damage caused by Carpenter over the years?

From the Death Waltz Facebook:
"Folks, Spencer is departing from LA, however we have stopped by Light In The Attic Records to drop off our remaining cassettes to be sold online. So STAY AWAY from the eBay ripoff prices!! Do not pay $20 individually for these! Stay tuned for an official release & prices! We have about 1,000 left of each including the Field in England tapes! We'll announce as soon as we figure it out!"

So I guess it won't be too hard to grab these in the near future.

Are there even 1,000 people who actually have a tape recorder? :D

Each to their own, but I don't get the tape thing at all. Why go to the bother of remastering all this lovely old music to then put it on cassette? It's a buyer's market I guess :D

The great thing about a cassette tape is that you can DIY.... I put a blank in the cassette deck..... I select my favourite DW tracks and record them. Amazing. I now have a mixtape of my favourite DW moments. Technology is incredible.

That Carpenter print is great. I want one for my wall. I am going to be away from my computer pretty much all day on Halloween (stupid work) so if anyone gets an extra keep me in mind, I have lots to trade.
