Lucky you @texas...I wasn't able to re insert the vinyl inside the bag, hahaha! The same story with 2001 by North...now I have 2 vinyl which occupies the place of 5... :D

Thanks@Station. I was scanning ebay the other day and and noticed that some of the older Boner Record titles from the Melvins had been reissued. Might have to pick up the one or two that I missed out on years back!

As to the music, they're all worth picking up, I think. Bullhead and Lysol are personal faves but really early Melvins were going from strength to strength.

@vapormeyer - also received the Laufer this week - but regular edition without the CD and postcards - I'm guessing the CD is basically the same as the vinyl tracklist

Re: the Evil Deads, yes I wouldn't normally double up on vinyl, but the movies were a special part of my misspent teenage years ;)

If Intrada's remaster is as good as they are making it sound I may have to double-dip on this one when it's released this summer.

@tim apparently due to sound issues a lot of layers of Goldsmith's electronic work were left off of the cues on the original vinyl and cd release. The upcoming Intrada vinyl is a must have for me :). Double vinyl, and all the electronic work fully restored for the first time ever!

^ This is great info, thanks @Static!

I'm gonna spin this now......still absolutely floors me how different these "original" soundtrack recordings are when compared to the previously released "studio orchestra" DOT soundtrack edition. I've convinced at least two people to double dip for this after doing them a personal side-by-side comparison of the main theme alone ;)

And Jay Shaw's sleeve notes are some of my favourite ever - comes across as such a cool, humble dude.

@Spun Yep, exactly the same, bit of a gimmick really but then i'm a bit of a sucker for that. Great album though.

Tim, when I see your posts I always think what a gorgeous turntable that is. Is it a VPI Aries?
