I love the original band stuff, just picked up a very nice copy of billion dollar babies yesterday actually, and I thought it was supremely classy of him to make sure that it was the band and not him solo that was inducted into the hall of fame a few years back. I think this is his best solo record, not a bad track back to front as far as I'm concerned.

How is Razorback ? It's on my want list on discogs, but I don't know if I'll ever have money to spend on getting it.

@Nathan, I really like it. It was a blind buy from a catalog way, way back when it was first released. In the description it said anyone who enjoyed the Halloween score would enjoy this. That was good enough for me. Not once have I regretted the purchase.

It's a really solid album Hatter. The 2nd solo release Goes To Hell is really solid too. Love BDB by the way! Enjoy!

A+ stuff from Alessandroni, originally on the elusive Sermi label.

Nostalgia trip to the max courtesy of this mysterious 'found Japanese stock'/bootleg...

Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Big Audio Dynamite... Star Wars theme, The Beatles, all across two marvellous disks. Colourways look great and a clean sounding pressing to these ears.

Today's mail. There's a slight warp that doesn't affect play. First time hearing this score and halfway through side 1, I think it's a good one.

I've just finished my first streaming of this Johnny Jewel soundtrack for Ryan Gosling's Lost River. It's very good. It's nostalgic, contemplative, romantic and dreamy. I think it's a no brainer for anyonre who likes Drive and Only God Forgive's score to get this lost river soundtrack when it comes out. A touch of old dramatic songs, a touch of minimal synths goodness, a little of that m83 romance vibe, some chill pulsating electronics... Super good.

Now starting my first spin/listen of the Insidious2 score to mix things up a bit.

And then I'll be back to a Ryan Gosling related score. Can this one still be bought for cheap ? I'd recommend it to anyone, I don't think I see people spinning this often enough, it's a good pre-sleep ost.

^^ agreed, Place Beyond the Pines is a great score. I think you can still readily find it under $20.

Solid Easy Tempo comp (aren't they all?)- Nicolai, Pisano, Bacalov, Rizzati, Piccioni, Ferrio, Trovaioli, Torossi et al

^ Last two pages are all killin' it. @Texas, how does that Sorgini sound? :) I'm still on the hunt.

@Nathan, I have been listening to TPBTP on my commute lately. I find it great for deep thinking. Must pick up the LP.

Even though this is relatively new, it is now one of my most treasured albums. Listened to it through a Marantz 2270 phono amp today that I might purchase. Took it to a whole new level.

The Sorgini was worth all the fuss and hassle. It sounds good.

All three of these newest Cindelic reissues are home runs. The 17-minute Under Pompelo jam is incredible, the Floyd covers on Profondita are best enjoyed at max volume, and the Brugnolini runs the gamut from delicate and beautiful to smoky funk. I'm looking forward to whatever comes next. Zoo Folle would be awesome.
