My 2 copies of the Goblin subscriber edition came today but it's red vinyl not red/clear split?

Hello.

Apologies if this has been asked before but this is a 160-page thread.

Why do Death Waltz Records LPs cost £20 each in the UK, direct from the label website, yet just $20 (currently £12.50) from Light In the Attic's website in the US?

That's a huge difference in price. Surely the Death Waltz Records website should be the cheapest place?

Hi Black76, I made the same question and nowbody answered.
It's really sad, because I'm always running buying stuff directly from DW, and then, later the same day, it's way cheapier in LITA, and a week later, cheaper in amazon.
The same thing happened with OneWayStatic. They records are cheapier in LITA.

I received my Subscriber copies today too and thought the same initially.

But if you hold the disc to the light, you'll see one half block red, the other a see-through red. It's not clear as stated, but there is a difference. The disc and sleeve look great - I'm not sure why it's not 100% clear, but for the £8 i think it's a great disc.

It may be that Death Waltz's US suppliers simply stock more records, therefore their prices will always be lower than a smaller company. DW have to guarantee they can shift a certain amount to bring the price down I guess.

I do think, however, that DW's prices aren't extortionate when you consider what you're getting for £20 - collaboration with renowned artists, close work with the directors/composers etc. They'd be quite within their rights to charge Mondo prices and limit the records to a crazy total.

Indeed they are, thank you for that!

I was expecting clear(colourless) not clear red and solid red which caught me out!
I can play it now, I was thinking I'd have to send it back and have to wait until a replacement was sent to listen to it

The 2 reds had me going for a bit as well!
I absolutely love the artwork for this one, using the score (presumably? Been a long time since I could read music!) as part of the imagery sums up Suspiria as an experience completely.

Unfortunately due to no computer of my own at the moment not posted much.
But this is being sorted.
However I just grabbed the Goblin Subscription EP and can't wait to get my hands on it.
Is it half clear red and half solid red or do the mix in with each other?

Awesome I know it said that but some of the explanations confused me.
Either way can't wait!

Has it been established that LITA will or will not carry the Golblin EP?

Spence, the Goblin 2013 Tour EP Subscriber edition says DW019 on the record + sleeve, but it says DW018 on the site: http://deathwaltzrecordingcompany.com/discography/

Which one is correct?

Does anyone have the regular Tour EP and could tell me if it says DW018 or DW019?

Got my Subscriber edition Goblin EP through the post - the sticker on the front just says 'One off pressing on red vinyl' with no mention of subscriber, is this right?

Rambler: Yes, the only difference between the two versions seems to be the vinyl itself.

Thanks Rasmus. It's a brilliant release, although i did have to look closely to see the colour split!

Drafthouse Films just announced the remastered release of the uncut version of Ms. 45 and they have two tracks available to download. A prequel to the Death Waltz release! Ms. 45

Nerd alert!

So Death Waltz's Facebook page announced awhile back that it was in the process of deleting DW 1-12. I know the majority of the titles have sold out at the source, but there seems to be plenty of stock around. It seems the special color variants are the only things being offered on the DW site proper, so basically...

I went out and finished my collection (no complaints!), so are they really being deleted? And if so, approximately how many copies were re-pressed (read: Halloween on orange, They Live on black).

It also makes me wonder why DW proper aren't selling the "non-limited" stock.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
