GHIBLI (Records & Shirts)… Up until now we’ve been weary of giving concrete ship dates on this only because, well, to be honest, we didn’t have an exact date. The good news is they ship from the plant early next week. We expect 2-3 days for delivery from the plant to us, and from there shipping the records are our top priority. Turn around should be pretty quick on those. Shirts, are scheduled to arrive late next week as well. We will ship the two simultaneously. Timed out pretty strange in that regard, but that’s where we are with those. I want to sincerely apologize for the delays. They were completely unexpected. Unlike MAN OF STEEL where we forewarned about shipping delays, we thought we would have the GHILBI items have in hand within our self-proposed 3-4 weeks shipping window, but unfortunately it was out of our control. Thank you so much for your patience.

Same here - which to be fair was what I mainly wanted anyway, so you put your energy I to getting that and the poster falls by the wayside. I've never see. Movie themed posters go as quickly as on that mondo site

Sooooo I just bought the two new Death Waltz records from LITA and the shipping was $5.88. I picked up the Timecrimes single LP from mondo, and the shipping is $7. Seems like a bit of a rip-off they're pulling on people with inflated shipping costs. I live about fifteen minutes from them, and I ship vinyl often through media mail with a tracking number and it's $3.88 every day.

@Ghostfires: Bear in mind though that they are probably using brand new mailers, so each of those will bump up the shipping cost. Just a thought. Living outside the US, I wish I could pay only $7.00 for shipping!

ordering 2 copies also cost $7 to ship (as did 2 copies of the Ghibli 2LP) - so it does seem to imply that the real cost (in their eyes anyway) is the mailer, not the shipping cost.

Fuck that stupid ass mailer! I've received thousands of records from all over the world in mailers that weren't this fancy bullshit and they arrived just fine. I couldn't give a fuck less about having a mondo symbol printed on a cardboard box....fuck that rip-off gimmick!

ha! I agree that the logo does little for me, but I do love the new trend of rectangular mailers to help avoid corner dings.

no idea if they really cost all that much more to manufacture.

(tangent: have you seen the animated cat gifs with 'fuck this' and 'fuck that'? they are great! I can picture one with a mondo mailer (with limited colored vinyl randomly inserted) getting knocked on the floor by one of these cats. anyone with a cat and a mailer, do me a solid and make it happen!)

It's $17 to mail it to Canada. Consider yourselves amazingly lucky to only have to pay $7.

Don't know what version it is, so I made my preorder waiting that it's not Princess Mononoke, cause already have it
