some major new arrivals over the last week. finally tracked down a few Vincent Price records i've been searching for for ages! to start off, here is the soundtrack to Dr. Phibes:

here are a few Vincent Price narrated gems and the soundtrack to The Dunwich Horror:

Death Waltz Donnie Darko on blue wax - a birthday present from my lovely wife:

Stephen King's Cat's Eye:

Prince Avalanche soundtrack:

3 in the Attic soundtrack performed by Chad and Jeremy:

The Boys From Brazil promo soundtrack - music composed by Jerry Goldsmith:

and this could be amazing if it is legit... Stephen King's Silver Bullet and the Invasion U.S.A. soundtrack, both composed and seemingly autographed by Jay Chattaway:

here is a close-up of the note and autograph. can anyone tell if this is legit? i could only find one autograph of his online and it looks similar, but you never know...:

whew! that's all for now.

How's the Three in the Attic?

Saw it today but chose Solaris instead.

Sweet haul by the way.

I love that 3 In The Attic soundtrack too!

Just playing this fresh arrival - love the film socio-political zombie action of the finest order.... and the soundtrack is special.

Technically not a soundtrack but sounds very much like one. If it was a soundtrack I think Death Waltz Records might put it out.

The Slasher Film Festival Strategy "Crimson Throne". "Sweet electronic goodness." RIYL: Boards of Canada, John Carpenter, Death Waltz Recording Co., Brad Fiedel, 80's synth soundtracks, etc!

CD included with LP, limited to 350 I have #342

Got home to a FedEx box from Italy from AMS.
Just got done listening to Profondo Rosso for the first time on vinyl (only had mp3s). WOW, the bass sounds so amazing.

Well done, but don't say anymore that infamous word here... "mp3" you never listened to Goblin if you only had the "infamous word"! :D

@ maxvelvet - I know, I know. But the vinyl has been hard to find and pricey, and I don't usually buy CDs, I am pretty much vinyl only. I listened to Zombi twice last night (side 2 3 times, I love the second half of that album). Again it blows the doors off the far inferior version of the music I have been listening to.
This is making me soooooo excited to see them in October @ THE GOTHIC THEATER.

I got my Man of Steel vinyl on Monday and listened to it during my Fantasy Football draft Tuesday. Really good soundtrack and pretty dark feeling.

Wow, jealous about the House soundtrack. Does it have that poppy song about cherries made for eating?! That movie was so disturbing to me and that main piano theme repeated so often throughout the movie almost made me insane

Nice stuff! I've got to find a Dawn of the Dead somewhere. I actually saw that Zombie Zombie / John Carpenter the other day, but I didn't know what to make of it. What's the story there?

@matowest.....re the Zombie Zombie Carpenter covers EP - it rocks! In their patented French minimalist electronica fashion, ZZ get right to the heart of Carpenter's musical genius and turn out a cracking set of classic themes with analogue synth-ey goodness and thumping live beats. My personal favourites are the "Bank Robbery" theme (from expanded Escape From New York OST, such an amazing track anyway) and The Thing. It took me quite a while and some patience to finally spring for this, but I needed it for my JC collection... I recommend having a listen on YouTube if you wanna sample it in all its' Gallic glory! ;)

@strangevices, yeh, was a really lucky purchase, sounds incredible and looks stunning. Am finding a few JP imports locally at the moment. There's one record store in Melbourne where the owner does bi-monthly trips through Japan looking for gold. If I see any more stand-outs I'll pick em up and drop them here.
