PS Don't let the occasional negative post get you down, I would say the vast majority of posts on here are very positive – but I guess the bad ones just stick out to you more. Personally speaking, this is by far the friendliest/most positive forum I have ever been on.

I totally get Spencer… there has been a overall negative mood here lately.
And by no means am I talking about criticism…. just plain negativity. A true bitch fest.

Not really what we had in mind when we started this forum and makes it not really appealing to check in, let alone post.

Guess it grown bigger than expected and this comes with the expanse. But that does not mean we have to accept it. This forum can be closed just as fast as it started… hell, I'm looking at the delete button right now.

I want to ask everyone to keep this a fun board where people talk about records and their fun for (horror) soundtracks & movies. Bitch somewhere else please, go to a chat-room or whatever kids use these days.

That being said, I also want to thank all our regular posters for filling it with daily content, recommendations, fun stories and pictures. I've even seen some friendships develop here and laughed my ass of many times on some interactions. This is the ticket, this is the way to go.

@ Seb, for me personally.. didn't notice the negativity that much..
I think the lot in here, who have been here long before me, are a great bunch of guys and galls. It's true that some mood-changing is taking place on certain topics. To bad ''those'' people, probably some from the FB-Hate-gang, ruin it for the rest. Isn't there some kind of solution like a warning system? If you'll notice some negativity/bad language etc, give that person a warning. Next warning, you're out? Just some quick thinking.. Then again, we're old enough to keep things civilized. Hope you guys still love us for our input and will do so whatever may happen next
I've had my fair share of finding some great stuff on here and like I said before.. There isn't a day that goes by without checking in first with STBC before starting my day or going to bed! (..if someone actually reads this )

OWS, I would be very disappointed to see this website shut down due to a few bad apples. Overall, I still get a good vibe from STBC, and really there is no better resource for this niche that I love! Yes, there have been a few bitchy folks here and there, but truthfully (and unfortunately) that comes with any internet message board. There's no way around that. And I would say the good fans far outnumber the bad on STBC...it's just that the bad ones are the loudest.

Has the mood really gotten that bad...? I check out this forum multiple times a day and I do notice some surprising negative tirades now and then, but I feel like they are usually from people who make an account, spill their angry can of beans, then leave. I'd say the regulars are generally just having a good time geeking-out about soundtracks.

Compared to the shit I see people write on record company's Facebook pages... Makes this forum look like an angel!

I'm also not really able to see where the negativity has come from. Have we been very critical of a company that just merged with DW? Yes. Perhaps that is one of the reasons for this discussion now?

If Seb & Spencer don't want to be a part of this any longer...would it be a problem for someone else to take over the expense and total control, and several of us just contribute cash to keep it alive? I'm not trying to make things really difficult - but I thoroughly enjoy this forum, and would hate for it to disappear out of no where on a whim because of sour grapes...so maybe it could be group owned?

Well it only costs me $12 a month for a Wordpress hosted site!

I doubt DW or OWS would go as this site is a marketing goldmine! Just look at the power Spencer has at selling distributed titles like le matos!

Part of the problem is the type of Interaction. Some people think the forum is a complaints portal which is bullshit. But then I look at the reaction I was given over "that post" which was a pro mondo post!

I don't use FB, I think it is the anti-Christ...so I don't really know what goes on there, except for whenever people here discuss the behavior they witness.

Phil this site has 1400 members our facebook and Twitter accounts have a combined reach of 15k. I do not see Spin as a marketing tool. I wanted it to be a community.

I have always interacted with folks here , posting links , sharing information and offering opinions.

I do not just turn up on the DW thread and push titles i want to sell or announce a new release... I am pretty involved....I give you heads up infront of Twitter etc as to when things will be online (Hook & Pull Gang etc) I actually like to be around here (until the last few months anyway)

Ghost it has nothing to do with the recent merger but everything to do with constantly reading negative comments from certain members.

If folks have legimate complaints then that is fine (recent DW replacement thread for instance) but recently every other post i read is from someone moaning about something ...anything. Be it the Mondo thread, DW thread or WW thread - although i have to say i admired the way Kevin just dissed the guy that was complaining about TrT last week)

Anyway it doesn't matter it's your forum . Enjoy it .
