There are several of these japanese video game music records. I have been trying to find out more about them.

I think, unfortunately, where they have music direct from the game (which is what interests me the most) it has been ripped while someone is actually playing the game. So the bg music is interrupted repeatedly by the player shooting or jumping or whatever. Would love some clarification on this if anybody owns one of these records.

I believe they often also include remixes or orchestrations of a sort.

I have a couple of the 'kid stuff' video game exploitation records, which I highly recommend. I have yars revenge and asteroids. They also did missile command and donkey kong

There's a Death Waltz Maniac silver and blood splatter in mint condition for GBP 25.00. Pretty good price, if the shipping wasn't so much I would jump on it.

Not exactly cheap, but the cheapest I have come across. The official site wants almost double.

I agree that this is a decent price and am psyched you posted it here.

But to pick nits, Cometa's copies are about 47 GBP, not 70 - and those are minty dead stock copies.

^ Looks like someone grabbed it already, was it one of you? Good score IMO if it was one of you guys. I play my copy a fair bit.

Thanks for the heads up!

I just grabbed it. Not familiar with the score, but Ennio rarely disappoints.

Nice @ Cult Leader, glad one of you got it. I paid $20 for mine a few years back and it was in pretty good shape, but by no means new.

If any of you don't follow me on Instagram, I am giving away a free 7"! It's the unused score for La Puntura Velenosa Della Notte, by Matthew Akers (credited on the 7" as M.Akers). The music is some damn fine Giallo horror.

Just in case anyone here doesn't own that and would like a copy, I have an extra to give away...you just have to follow me, ghostfires, and use the ghostfiresgiveaway tag.

If you do follow me and know someone that doesn't but might want a free record - please share with them, pass it on! I'll randomly select one winner next Monday, Nov 24.

For anyone into the Carpenter-inspired wave of synth music from the last few years, one of the very best from that wave is the Night Music album by Etienne Jaumet, which he is one half of Zombie Zombie (as in the now well known album Zombie Zombie Plays John Carpenter). ANYWAYS - I just was looking around on Amazon and saw that his album Night Music is up for sale for around $16 from two different sellers. Hell of a deal if you ask me, because I find that album to just be damn fine.

After a little looking - it seems you can get it on the cheap on Discogs too. I thought the album was more rare than that, but maybe not? Regardless - it's a really cool album, worth checking out.
