Yay! WW is taking care of the bloody flippers! I'm all for a contest to dish out their LPs if they hold them back. :) As for the funding, I'd totally pitch in for our own run of that too. I'm guessing it'd be pretty spendy though. I guess we'd just have to wait for input from WW.

In retrospect the Jack White/Third Man Records Vault idea would have worked well for the blood filled in particular... or any other potentially costly edition.

Simply ask people to pre-order the LP by a certain date and then, past that cut-off point, make however many are required to fulfil the demand.

Seems like a win/win. People get the record they want and the label now has all our cash up front to make it happen.

Of course, this is pre-guessing that whatever the pressing number is, it isn't limited by a licensing agreement.

Another one is up for $500. That makes four copies and counting.

Well, it looks like a whole bunch of replies have just caught up with me. Just had 24 in my mail box... I'm in two minds whether to unclick notifications... I'm very much enjoying @discos posts! Can I just follow users?!!!

Edit: layneharvey beat me to it.

Paying €405 for a record is what I would call batshit crazy. "Congratulations" to whoever got it.

I sincerely hope that this sale was closed by one of us fucking with the septic douche bag. I'd take a non-paying hit to screw with one of these joyless, opportunistic cretins.

I love flipping. Its what makes collecting so enjoyable.

Just going to sell my latest ultra rare cocaine filled record.

The galleryfifty-one listing has ended, and all 12 offers were declined. With any luck our Waxwork friends nailed him.

This is awesome if it's actually happening. I guess the smarter flippers will wait to list until it's at least shipped but that will at least crimp their cashflow a bit.

It's sickening. I mean, I understand selling albums if you get it and don't enjoy it or are trimming down your album collection, but to buy it for the sole purpose of making a quick buck... shameful.

@ninjaqutie exactly. Did you end up with the version you wanted?

You guys, it might be a flipper "buying" it from himself, to set the price/value at that level. This happens...

I think the buyer must be a Saudi oil sheik. I would've stretched to a hundo for it, but my goodness $550 is a lot.

You guys arnt really anti flipping are you? I mean it sucks sure but a record is just a commodity right? People can do what the fuck they want with the shit they buy!

Like antique dealers or used car salesman (and women). I've just sold a caravan to a dealer for £5500 who has it advertised for £6500. Is he a flipper of caravans? Should I have sold it to someone who would have enjoyed it?

I love all you guys for being so passionate!!
