I just watched Les Revenants (the original movie from 2004) and it's got the most amazing ambient soundtrack. The credits roll says music by Martin Wheeler and a quick search lead to very little information on IMDB.

Turns out he also scored Michel Kohlhaas - The Age of Uprising, another great film with an amazing score.

It doesn't look like any of this has ever been released on any format.

So PLEASE, someone get in touch with this guy and release these beautiful soundtracks. Especially Les Revenants (The Returned - again, the original French film) score, it's such a great piece of minimal, dark, dramatic and emotional ambient.

I have always hoped for a nice collection of tracks of the Italian Post Apocalypse films. A compilation of that stuff would be amazing but I would love to see full soundtrack editions of the Oliver Onions' score for "2019 After the Fall of New York" and Simonetti's "Warriors of the Wasteland". Was there ever a vinyl reissue of Simonetti's score for Fulci's "Conquest"? That would be a great one as well.

I wish someone would release Carl Zittrer early film scores from the 70's Like Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things or DeathDream...very creepy and atmospheric. Cover art potential for children could be really cool.

According to wikipedia: A soundtrack release for Freaked was planned, but following the loss of their post-production budget, the idea never came to fruition. The score was composed by Kevin Kiner, with additional music by Paul Leary and Butthole Surfers, and Blind Idiot God.

I'm not sure if this is a real long lost soundtrack or not, the story behind it sounds more like a fun myth to help sell an album...but in the off chance that it is a true film score...PLEASE tell me one of you reissue labels are going to put out a physical copy of The Goatman!
