I do like to bag on mondo (and they give me plenty of reasons to with their various shenanigans) but the visitor is the fucking bomb. I think this is easily my favourite of their releases, great artwork, it sounds fantastic, extra tracks compared to the original vinyl issue.

Got mine today! Probably one of the best releases Mondo has put out, musically. Really loving it. But why does Mondo seem to never include Liner notes? It would be really cool to hear some background info on this soundtrack.

I ordered The Visitor the day it released and just got a confirmation it shipped today. Curious why orders outside the states would get theirs first....

Just received The Visitor, I ordered the day of release and am based in Ireland. I've lucked out and got the sunburst variant and it looks the nuts...a superb release from Mondo and a beautiful package all round. They did a great job with this one.

I came out after 9 hours of work to find that some tosser clipped my motorcycle in the parking lot and knocked it on its side. Won't start and had to leave it at work. Came home to find this on my doorstep:

Aarrgghh... To see all those variants of the visitor.. and mine still hasn't been shipped (paranorman and coraline orderdate 4-24) .
Does it always take so much time to ship to Europe with Mondo? I've ordered at silvascreen and got it in 3 days..

So I sent my The Omen and Halloween sleeves off for replacement. They arrived today. It is raining pretty hard here in Maryland, and the packaged was laying flat on the wet concrete. I wasn't too stoked to see that.

So I get it inside and open it up. The inside is barely wet, but it isn't a big deal because they replaced the damaged sleeves with sealed new copies!

My Halloween is the normal black, but can't complain about that. Now what to do with my extra copies with no sleeves...

Anywho, this is the second time I have dealt with Mondo CS and both times have been good for me.

@icyjones - That is a very cool surprise indeed and a good looking record to boot. I have the "mark of the beast" variant with three black spots on red, but that black stripe variant is sharp as hell.

@icyjones- You lucky bastard! I had to go through hell and back just to receive a replacement omen sleeve! Not only did you receive one, you received a freshie containing a rare (what ever happened to that going online anyway?) to boot! Layne must have given you some of his mustache hairs. Good thing you got a new one because it helped prevent damage with it being in plastic. I'd hate to see it ruined and you'd have to go through the whole process over again.

As an aside, I asked why they required me to send back my old sleeve when other companies don't and she flat out ignored my question. :/

I will not deny my stroke of luck. Same thing happened with The Beyond. My first normal edition came warped. Sent it back, got the replacement, and it was the variant!

I have to say - The Visitor is some of the best music Mondo has released. They've put out some interesting soundtracks, but Visitor is easily some of the most enjoyable music thus far. I am really enjoying it, and probably have listened already three times all the way through. Now if I could just find a variant copy...

@ninjaqutie and @icyjones I have you to thank you cuz when emailing Mondo re my damaged Sunshine and Devil sleeves, I told them I didn't want to return the old ones (I sent them photos) and fair play they didn't ask me to & informed me replacements were on their way I'll let you know whether I get vinyl as well but am happy with the Sunshine variant I got originally

Hey Ed, I just got shipping confirmation for The Visitor this morning. Ordered on the first day to ship to Ireland. I'd say yours will be on it's way shortly too, they just seem to take a bit longer on international delivery but that's cool

Not used to such long delivery times. But then again.. Just realy excited for these records, can't wait!
The main problem though, i've ordered Gravity to. So they were attached to Gravity. I guess it was made into 1 order/shipment.
And since that one is being delayed... But then again.. It's been over a month by now
Ordered The Visitor 3 days ago as well, let's see how long that beauty's going to take
Al that asside, Mondo looks to be a great label with excellent soundtracks.. Looking forward to hear the records!

Hmm..asked for Sunshine and Devil cover replacements, got vinyl also which is good, but Omen instead of Devil!? Can't be bothered asking again but increasingly it seems that brand new albums turn up with seam splits, corner dings etc

I would like to know who you all are dealing with to get new vinyl and to keep your old stuff. LOL. Sorry to hear you didn't even get what you asked for though. I would take photos of what you asked for, attach it to your original e-mail and reiterate what you originally wanted. Suggest a label to send Omen back so you can get the soundtrack you originally wanted. That way it looks like you are trying to play fair from the get-go.
