I got my The Fog yesterday from LitA. All I can say is WOW!! Absolutely stunning packaging all around. I got the splatter version, would have preferred the haze but whatevs. You really have outdone yourself on this one Spencer! I hope you keep up this standard on future releases.

I also have a splatter if anyone wants to trade their haze version. I'm willing to pay for your shipping as well or add trade stuff.

DIY hey, Spence? Do i sense Driller Killer press that you have to drill your own hole in the centre of the record? A bit obvious perhaps. Hmmmm intriguing.

I dropped a good chunk on DW's site today to complete my collection. When they arrive, I can proudly say I have the color or sub color of each release. Pretty stoked right now. Looking forward to spinning them all. Now to try to keep up with the future releases.

Interesting comment from skeleton_unit about black vs colour vinyl. Actually if your source material for a record is a CD then the CD beats the vinyl, black or otherwise. I've got very good record and digital playback gear and tbh for all my DW John Carpenter vinyl the remastered CDs sound better. The credits for the recordings on the vinyl seem to be the same as for the CDs so I'd have to assume the source material is the same, in the case of vinyl with more processing and background noise. Thing is this isn't always the case, if I listen to a 70's recording of music from Fistful Of Dollars (for example) I get sound quality I can't get from CD. I'm into artwork and nice presentation but it's icing on the cake to me, I'm hoping this little vinyl revival that's going on makes the most of the opportunities the medium presents.

Spencer - I hate to post this here but this seems the best way to get to you and get a response - I got my order...#4686...today but was missing "The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue" on green - The other 5 were packed pretty tight so maybe it is coming separate? - Let me know - If you want to go through email it is hncreature(at)yahoo(dot)com - Thanks -- Nick

With all of this talk of 'black or coloured vinyl?', 'digital can sound better', 'are people buying just for the packaging?', I was wondering if there's any chance of future releases coming with a download card or a cd version? Surely this would be the ideal solution. I know there may well be an additional costs for this, but I'd happily spend a little extra if I could get a digital copy along with the vinyl and fancy packaging. Would also be nice to be able to take my soundtracks with me when I'm travelling.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned here yet. I got an e-mail from DW this morning that they will be doing a limited re-press of The Fog more or less aimed at helping out those that missed on the initial sale due to the site issues and demand. If you're thinking of paying the eBay prices, wait! There will be a new DW release soon.

yes, i heard the same. apparently, it will not be black or the clear, so it will be something different. without the print and the bag as well.

Shame about not having the screen printed back cause it looked pretty awesome.
Still going to think about picking up the 2nd press unless it brings down the 1st press prices on eBay.

I think the original press will hold it's value well. Especially with the added extras it includes that won't be on the repress. I wonder what color they will press it on. Maybe a solid green/blue?

It WOULD be pretty funny if the repress of the Fog was a lot cooler looking than the 1st and had more extra stuff in it. Man, that would piss off some folks.

Anyway, thanks Death Waltz for making it right for us people who don't have deep pockets and weren't so lucky to score a copy in the first place.
Somebody rocks....and that is you, Death Waltz!

We are doing a repress of the Fog due to the high demand , also so many regulars missed out too so I want to do right by everyone.

It wont have the screenprinted overbag or the print but otherwise it will be the same....except for the colour . Details to follow on Monday.

I have been listening to Beyond The Black Rainbow non stop the last few days. Jeremeys score is outstanding in evey way !

Yes The Raid is the ORIGINAL Indosesian version . Which knocks that Linkin Park score outta the water.
It's awesome really John Carpenter and just mindblowing.

Bring it, Mr Death Waltz! I vote for a flexi of the Arboria Institute commercial (a la Silver Shamrock jingle...)
