@albatard Very wild! I kinda wondered what the deal with that VHS rip was, and why it didn't come from a DVD, hah! Who knows! Unfortunately the crazy sax part wasn't able to be included because it was added in last minute when they mixed down the sound. It only exists in the final M&E track that is lost somewhere in the Troma warehouse! Hope that doesn't burst your bubble, hah.

That's a great loss but i'll live without it, no worries!!!
The bootleg was made from a VHS just because the guy didn't own the DVD when he made it (it was in the early 2000's). I offered to burn him a copy of my DVD so that he could make another boot with better quality, he thought that his boot was ok and he didn't want to do the whole process again so he declined.

I like the crazy sax anecdote, because this part really sounds as a last minute addition!

I just watched the movie for the xx times last night after seeing that topic, love that movie!!

WHO RULES THE SURFERS??
SURF NAZIS! SURF NAZIS!

Looking forward to this release @strangedisc! As a new label in the mix you're gonna get a lot of requests/wish lists. My vote goes for any Andy Sidaris flick :-). I swear if I had a label I'd put out every one!

@bansel I'm excited to hear people's wishlists & requests! With this label I am going for a fairly specific vibe, feel, timeperiod, etc, but I'm definitely interested in any feedback, suggestions, or anything that anybody wants to tell me!

Any updates for us strangedisc? I cannot wait to see the final product! Do you have a clue as to when the records will be ready? not for pre-order but for shipping...

@nessone

We've had a few delays with this, but as of last week, every part of the record is IN production. With that being said, I've still not received the test pressing which will give us a definite idea of when the record is coming out. At this point, if tests are approved it looks like the record will be coming out in roughly 8-10 weeks. Sorry for the delays on this one, but I promise it's worth it!

I love the thought of more Troma LPs getting released, it'll fit right in next to my Tromeo & Juliet and Def By Temptation LPs. ;)

Seriously though, totally excited for this. I'd love for some other Troma soundtracks (like Troma's War, Terror Firmer or even Killer Condom) to get the vinyl treatment, but this is gonna be good!

Another suggestion from me would be Aerobicide, aka Killer Workout, but that's just wishful thinking.

Thanks for the love guys! I had a feeling that there may be some people who AREN'T fans of the film on here, I know not everybody like's Troma's brand of B film(although Surf Nazis isn't technically a Troma produced movie), but the score is really undeniable. Glad to hear the positive reviews so far. I'm really proud of this release and it's been a record I've wanted to release for years. Super pumped that it's all coming together!
