Yes, I have seen these occasionally during the past week.

Is it an idea to create a discord server or some other means as a backup. Or as something to replace our small clubhouse?

I could set up a server and invite everyone if they wanted. I don't really have any experience running one but I have a few friends who do that I could use as a resource if that is where we ended up

I don’t think it is very difficult to set up. Give it a try and add me as an admin or moderator or something if you like.
I am on holiday at the moment but next week I have time to see if this could be a nice backup.
This is how the Terror Vision discord looks on a phone. It is very similar to how STBC looks in regards to categories.

I have a server set up, it's very rough at the moment I think it's a decent baseline to build off of if we decide to switch over there

Wanted to give a little preview to those that have never used or seen discord before. I have it set up in sections similar to this forum with categories under each that function as chat channels for the topic. Also wanted to just let everyone know that this does not require you to download an app, the app is optional. You can use a browser based window, it's how I use it while at work. There isn't much difference between the app and the browser version. There is both mobile version and PC version of the app, depending on if you like to use your phone more than computer. I personally like being able to just take pics and immediately upload them with out having to resize to fit the image size requirements of here
