OK i did watch the short and I will move to viewing one of the full length films but just one. like you mentioned there is nothing really inspiring in it especially that clown design but just want to see what the hype is about and give it a chance.

Yesterday I watched The Long Goodbye (1973) together with my girlfriend. I wanted something from the early seventies that I hadn’t seen before or not since a long time.
Five Easy Pieces was an option, but she hates Nicholson. Other option was …And Justice for All or Midnight Cowboy and Mean Streets.
She opted for The Long Goodbye… absolutely hated it :-)
I absolutely loved it. Now I need to check out some more seventies Eliot Gould.

Well @bez, this was a treat thank you - threw it on while I was working.

Must say though - this grass was really not hiding that sound recordist!

My girlfriend loved Looking for Mr Goodbar. As did I. Diane Keaton was absolutely brilliant.

Watched Anora this evening, was really great. Had some nice humor in places to lighten the insanity of everything else going on

I did not feel it... The main lead clearly acted superbly, but the movie was not for me.

I completely understand that, honestly it didn't grab me until the point shit kind of hit the fan, from there forward I was very entertained

Saw Nosferatu yesterday, it was incredibly well made and beautifully shot, unfortunately for me I was bored to tears watching it. It's pacing is so slow and while I really liked Ralph Ineson and Nicholas Hoult performances, I didn't care for Lily-Rose Depp at all in that role. I know a lot of folks loved it but it just didn't work for me

Still looking forward watching it. But I am wondering if I should first watch some old nosferatu, or even 10 other dracula chronologically and ending with the new Nosferatu...

Last night we watched Happy Together which is still one of my absolute favorite WKW films. I decided to check out the new restoration and while it's the least offensive of the bunch, I still prefer the over saturated blown out colors of the original
@inks this might interest you - someone has reconstructed the original theatrical version of Ashes of Time, restoring lots of missing stuff and unfucking the colour grade. Looks like great work.

It won’t surprise me at all if we get fan-unfuckered versions of the other films in due course.

This was actually a lot of fun. Silly, over the top and with a terrific soundtrack.

Fantastic film, with amazing Piccioni score that was released on CD, seek it out! (whole score is up on YT). I think I saw rumour that Blow Out were eyeing it up…..

Haha. Yes, very funny movie. Some big names attached to it. I'll take a copy of that BOR release for sure :-)

I’m rewatching an old favourite, Roy Scheider and Meryl Street. THE STILL OF THE NIGHT. Kindof a flop at the time by Robert Benton and David Newman (Superman screenwriters) attempting a Hitchcock psychological thriller, but I love it.

Anyway there’s a dream sequence in it that’s fantastic and gets right under my skin - and watching it this time I’m struck by how ‘Giallo’ it is! Recommend checking it out anyway. (The Japanese poster seems to get what I mean…)
