I haven't posted much in here lately, I've been super busy but have been spinning a ton of new shit so I'll dump a few photos

There's Nothing Out There

I haven't seen this one but I am aware of the film. Wasn't some what to expect when it arrived but turns out it is really damn good.

Osamu Shoji & Progressive Party - Chimera Kou 1

Been after this for years, I have parts 2 & 3. While not a score to a film it's a score to a book. Super varied, ambient, j-pop, rock and synths

The Forest

It's the best thing about this snoozefest of slasher. Well the poster is pretty good too

Star Fox 64

One of my favorite N64 games. It's the full score on sides A-C then on side D there's an in game playthrough of the first few levels with all the dialog from the game. Honestly that was a treat to hear when I got to it, a bit of nostalgia washed over me

Clock Tower

One of the first "survival horror" games, this features the full score to the SNES game on side A and side B features the PS1 port's score which is a little different

X-Men The Arcade Game

A classic arcade beat em up that to this day is still a favorite of mine. This is sequenced like a full game playthrough. Has all the sound effects as if some one is playing. Honestly this is most likely a recording of a playthrough, it sounds pretty good and it's just a fun one to have

Almost complete A Nightmare on Elm Street collection. I'm still holding out a sliver of hope that New Nightmare gets a standalone vinyl release someday

I didn’t know this was out there. I only recently bumped into the film thanks to an enthused shout out by critic Walter Chaw. It’s on my list.

@reddye I see you have this one: Sheida Gharachedaghi & Mohammad Reza Aslani - Chess of the Wind OST

I first noticed it when Soundohm put it up for sale: https://www.soundohm.com/product/chess-of-the-wind
The description sounds excellent:
Big Tip! LP (clear amber). 8-page insert. The lost soundtrack to “Chess of the Wind”, Iran’s banned 1976 queer-gothic-class-horror masterpiece, restored by the director and released for the first time. A masterpiece of world cinema, Mohammad Reza Aslani’s “Chess of the Wind” was banned in Iran and thought to be lost until a complete print of the film re-emerged in an antique shop in 2014. Restored by Martin Scorsese’s Film Foundation and released to rapturous reviews in 2020, “Chess of the Wind” has taken its rightful place as one of the most visionary and daring films of pre-revolutionary Iranian cinema.

The film’s soundtrack, by one of the nation’s most revered female composers, Sheida Gharachedaghi, is just as daring - a combination of Persian classical instrumentation and atonal dissonance drawn from her Western conservatory background. Woodwinds, traditional Persian percussion, and the eerie moan of the ancient sheypour horn reflect the film’s battle between feudalism and modernity. As one scholar said, it sounds like “Ornette Coleman visiting a holy shrine in Iran.”
Great spins @inksb
Still need to listen to my copy of There's nothing out there. Never heard of the movie.
I believe I have ordered Ironmaster from somewhere... but hasn't arrived yet. Or I didn't order it... I did overspend the last month in buying records. A lot should come in during the next month.

And I see you have the score to Clock Tower. I am not sure if I ever played that game. When I get the time I will try it.

Also congrats on your NoES set!

@Static: as always excellent spins!
