Thanks yeah better for sure with this sub, I don’t think it’s a good sub (pretty small Polk) but this is a small room. Trying out a few albums to dial in the settings. I think I could do with some setup upgrades at some point. Maybe a tube amp and some decent tower speakers.

The Polk PSW10, a great inexpensive sub. I used to sell a ton of those back in the day. Cherry was the popular finish over black.

They do both open outward haha. It’s a small room with no real other spot to put a setup. In 16 years when the kids are maybe out of the house I will have a spot like static :-)

Think I'm getting confused by what you mean by 8x2, or you have very high ceilings and are a madman ;D
Both! :D

I am going through this thread looking for a picture of my old setup. But had to stop at this one. Love ScoJo's tower :-)

I love your gear @Static. I doubt my ears will hear all the nuances your equipment brings because of the tinnitus I have. But my eyes definitely like what they see :-)

Here is my current living room setup after finally having hung most framed stuff I have.

Most important thing is making sure the pup has a comfy seat right next to you for optimal enjoyment!

That's the truth. Nice setup Bez.

Thanks. Very happy with how it turned out. After the renovation of the first floor I am keeping all my records in this room on the second floor. Only moving my tv and surround sound set downstairs again.
And the pup is 13,5 years old. Had to help her up the stairs. But it is such a great feeling to have her close to me.

For anyone looking for a very nice and very cheap phono stage. I just grabbed a Fosi Audio X5 and for $100 it's a killer. Popped it into my second system and it punches way above it's price point.

Love your different setups @Static.
I have two main tables that are starting to malfunction. I should be able to fix them, but I haven't found the time yet. But because of it I am looking at getting a new (vintage) turntable. It is such a wormhole... so much options. And I know I am not an audiophile so I probably won't here the nuances between many higher end stuff.

static14 wrote: Tue Apr 08, 2025 11:41 pm What's going wrong with your tables? Hopefully the Beogram isn't too hard to work on.
My main table (the older B&O seen in most now playing pictures) has a cable fracture so it cuts in and out of sound on one channel. When I wiggle it it will play again but after a while it will drop the channel again.
Not to hard a fix as I have a spare table I can use the cable of. But need to find the time.

The other B&O is a later and more fancy turntable that works at the start of a record, but halfway the arm stops moving. I need to open it to see if it is an easy fix. But that table is filled with electronics and I don't hope it somewhere in there.

Drove a few hours this morning to pick this up. Waiting on a few bits to switch it from NAB to CCIR, and fix up the Revox NAB hubs, but it's in great shape otherwise and had all ready had a ton of internal work done to it. Super happy as I've wanted a Revox for years!
