peak heroin Frusciante. Sounds good.

Also this sticker is killing me, you would think that Vincent Gallo did the score himself, his name is on here 3 times and two of them are larger than the actual musician who wrote the music.

I expect nothing less from the man. It's still hilarious.

Gallo has some legit studio gear, I’ll say that.

He emailed me a few years ago asking to buy some of the most esoteric studio gear I own (they weren’t even listed as being for sale) and he made sure I was aware that he was “filmmaker Vincent Gallo”.

This is very funny. What was he inquiring about in particular if you don't mind answering?

A pair of Langevin 251 passive EQs that I have racked up.

I just got an email from Iam8bit saying I can pre-order the repress of Hyper Light Drifter. They raised the price from $75-$100 which isn't surprising but it's a 1 year pre-order. Hard pass on that shit.

Any one dying for a copy though should be able to get a pre-order in.

Mondo with another "winner" for jacket cover

I like Gary's illustration of Freddy & Jason but I think the layout is trash and feels like a typical Mondo poster instead of the cover for an album.

On sale Wednesday

Definitely a very cool release, probably their best release since Ivan the Tolerable but I just can't spend $30+ on a 7"
If 2HD gets some copies I'll grab one.

Two Joe Hisaishi Takeshi Kitano film scores are getting a vinyl release for "Record Day" (Nov 3rd) in Japan this year. (Not to be confused with "record 'store' day")

Kikujiro no Natsu 1999
and
Kids Return 1996

https://www.hmv.co.jp/news/article/2108251018/

I don't know the movies but quite like what I've heard of the Kids return ost. No Hana-bi or Sonatine but fingers crossed this is just the beginning.

New Fabio Frizzi incoming tomorrow from Cadabra Records
This Thursday we’re offering a brand new project with legendary composer Fabio Frizzi. The maestro along with long time collaborator, Riccardo Rocchi has reimagined his Frizzi 2 Fulci set list in its most intimate form, the classical guitar. This is a brand new studio recording spanning through a 2x LP set of 10x suites from Fulci classics such as Zombi, City of the Living Dead, The Four of the Apocalypse and much more. Art by Jeremy Hush. Package comes in a deluxe heavy weight gatefold jacket and includes a 4 panel insert with new liner notes by Stephen Thrower and Fabio Frizzi. Also includes a 24” x 36” promotional poster. A few vinyl variants will be available including an 180 gram audiophile black. This is a one time pressing in this deluxe format. Oversees customers can purchase from psilowave.

thought the same, but the prices on the 3lp on discogs are dumb. interesting its the same full track list but the original album is included on the second disc and not on its own third disc this time.

Honestly it's just insane. I did buy it but it's because it's Frizzi and I loved the work they did together for the Cadabra release last year (or was it the year before?) so I made an exception. I skipped the Castle Freak score because it was this price.

Also went for the black vinyl. I enjoy these small ensemble renditions and Frizzi and Rocchi both play so well together. I also recommend Frizzi's Rewind album of soundtrack and pop tunes from 2015 that was performed with a small ensemble. Rocchi also performed with this ensemble.

Wish that movie would get a decent release here in the US, such a strange cool film, such a terrible DVD
