I realized last week that I never picked up any of the Lakeshore Hellraiser reissues. To my dismay I realized the first film's score is OOP and people want $50+ for copies now. I did at least grab part II which still is out there and I will probably grab 3 soon too but that score is no where near as good as the first two imo.

I’m with you on the book Tim, but I do also love the movie - taken on it’s own terms it’s incredibly atmospheric and old-school eerie (helped no end by that score!) and Alice Krige is so beautiful and haunting. Just wish they’d found a place for Dick Smith’s most terrifying creation (used by House on Haunted Hill many years later!)
