Without warning is a treat. I know it was mostly filmed in California, but it reminds me so heavily of the catskill region in New York. I always get the feeling to watch it when I’ve spent some time upstate.

Shoji-san!
One of his best imo.

Not heard any of those @scojo but but feel like I should. ...👀 Vannier!!
I didn't realize you had an original. I never see it for sale, it's almost as elusive as Roots Search...

I think I got lucky on manderake, or it was in a lot from yahoo Japan, I've had it a couple of years now.

Now spinning another osamu shoji score, for adieu galaxy express 999 (the darker and bleaker, imo, sequel to GE999).
I think this soundtrack was a precursor to the whole digital trip series. The majority of the 2x lp is predictable bombastic space opera orchestrations, plus a couple of nice pop songs. But one track, "waves of light" Is a full on cosmic synth splurge.

The first digital trip album (by Shoji) is a synth cover of adieu GE999 LP, with a slightly different version of "waves of light", of course still all synth.
The ost is, ok would be a lot better cut down to one LP as it gets monotonous but def has its moments.

Demons 2 - Simon Boswell

Saw this on Amazon for $18 so I grabbed it. I honestly just have been putting it off as I still haven't watched Demons 2. I have no other reason, Boswell's score's are usually good and I love the original Demons. I may pick up the new Synapse 4K set of both films and finally give it a chance.

Mazinger Z - Michiaki Watanabe

This is a drama and song record. Some great stuff on here but if you are adverse to lots of dialog with bgm then it's not the best choice. I really just wanted it based on the amazing cover art, I've seen it pop up a few times over the last year and just felt the need to buy it base on that alone. The inside is very awesome as well with a giant fold out poster, I included some smaller photos below for everyone to see. It's a really impressive package.
