In the end I always prefer the Italian composer above all the rest. Sure Jerry and John made some terrific stuff but Italians do it better :-)

I love this score for a few reasons, some not even having to do with the music. Love that title track, love how drastically different the rest of it is, but outside of the music it’s one of my favorite packages from DW. That heave textured sleeve he switched to for a few releases was gorgeous, and that release in particular brings me back to a very specific time in genre history, personal history, and STBC history. It wasn’t all that long ago but it’s been a wild 8 years and I really think that 2013-2016 peak of the boutique labels putting out great releases and really developing a community around it was something special for a bit there.

Plus as some of you may remember, the boards could get SPICY back then, so I suppose it’s much better now in that respect with the 15 or so of us hanging around.

I love the movie and the score is fantastic. Weirdly enough I do not have it in my collection.

I was not around in those days, how were they "spicy"?

With the dicks dipped in sriracha.

And there were some personal arguments between musician and label played out on the forum.

Funny to see the member names that are no longer active. Just now realized that you can see the list of members and when they joined. We had a total of one new person in 2020, and none so far in 2021.

Registrations have been closed for a long time. Only openend last year for a short amount for that one member.

Time flies when you're looking for releases to buy, buying those releases, listening to those releases, filing those releases away, and starting the cycle again.

Haha, too accurate. Although on occasion the listening bit gets missed out 🤦
