the regular edition may like a rob zombie film, but the art edition looks like someone hasn't seen the movie and used the walking dead as a reference.

CAM Sugar and Decca have been releasing some great stuff lately. There is the Morricone Segreto series and each release you should get. Now there is going to be another fantastic compilation:

2LP on black or a more expensive splatter version or a great looking boxset:

PAURA explores the horror repertoire from the precious CAM Sugar archives taking us on a hypnotic journey into the labyrinths of fear, through the different variations that Italian horror took on from the esoteric and supernatural to the slasher films of the early 1970s; to reinterpretations of Romantic literature and gothic fiction to the splatter films of the ‘80s; and from witchcraft to metropolitan horror This is not a real “best of” but an eclectic menu full of mysterious voices, childlike lullabies, sweet melodies, obsessive music boxes, obstinate harpsichords, crazy distortions and threatening synthesizers, conceived as a succession of sequences, as if a film edit The new collection includes some of the most creative music ever written and strives to do justice not only to some of the best known composers in this genre, but also to many great unsung composers: From celebrated composers like Ennio Morricone, Riz Ortolani & Stelvio Cipriani to long-forgotten personalities who fed the industrial backbone of Italian cinema such as Daniele Patucchi, Marcelo Giombini & Berto Pisano Includes 6 previously unreleased tracks plus 3 tracks released on vinyl for the first time and 5 tracks available commercially for the first time (originally released only as a limited promo item)

@bez

This looks like a really nice comp. How are the other releases you have picked up from them, sound quality wise?

Having full access to the cam vaults is awe inspiring, but Im curious to the quality. It looks like sugar licences out to other companies? I see sugar are also connected to those disasterous contempo reissues of Minnesota clay, deserto Rossi etc...

Quality is excellent. But Decca is a serious company I think. Lots of classic stuff. I have three of their records and they all sound really good. Morricone Segretto is a very good compilation. Highly recommended. That I Malamondo I played yesterday for the first time sounded really good. Also surprisingly great score. I still need to listen to Il Bandito Dagli…. I have the Cerberus version of that one also. Will make for a nice comparison. That is a score that I highly recommend as well. Fantastic Morricone. The new reissue is cheap (at least through US Discogs sellers).

Thanks @bez that is Good to hear, I might have to pick up some of their releases.

A track from Frankenstein' 80, is on that comp. I remember Death Waltz were going to release this, and didn't they also hint at several Daniel patucchi scores being licensed?

Thanks for the morricone recommends also!

Well Mondo is finally releasing Bram Stoker's Dracula. Feel like this has been in the works for ages.

BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP. Music by Wojciech Kilar. Original Song by Annie Lennox. Artwork by JC Richard. Pressed on 180 Gram clear red and purple splatter vinyl. Also available on 180 gram black vinyl. Housed inside a gatefold sleeve. Liner notes by Charlie Bridgen. $30

Deep in the Carpathian Mountains, in the country of Transylvania, lies the castle of one who would have domain over all evil on Earth ... and with that blood and the fury comes the captivating and hypnotic music of BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA. Directed by cinema legend Francis Ford Coppola, the film looks back to the original 1897 text for a unique, blood-soaked vision. For the score, Coppola picked the great Polish composer Wojciech Kilar, whose brooding themes and dark choral textures have become the standard for the music of vampiric cinema. Working with Coppola's vision of the film as a tragic love story, Kilar conjured up a heartbreakingly beautiful, yet violent, tone poem that exquisitely encapsulates the darkness and passion of Stoker's classic narrative. However, love never dies, and neither does great music.

Another unnecessary gatefold single LP

They also released Ben Lovett's new score to The Night House on Friday which is still available. I'm curious to see the film as it's been getting decent reviews from festivals.
THE NIGHT HOUSE - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP. Music by Ben Lovett. Artwork by Mo Shafeek. Mondo Exclusive 140 gram clear vinyl numbered edition of 500 Housed inside a textured 425 gsm sleeve. $30

And last up is the new BWR release for The Stylist which had a pretty damn good score. I only have money for Dracula this week so hoping this one sticks around for a bit and I'll grab a copy.
THE STYLIST - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP. Music by Nicolas Elert. Released by Burning Witches records. Artwork by Sara Deck. Three color marble effect vinyl. $27

They could have done a Dracula/Greasy Strangler mash-up for the cover.

I highly recommend the MOV pressing. It sounds amazing.
It looks like copies in the US have depleted & prices have climbed a little.
